Hello, good evening, welcome and goodbye

Hello all. I have just registered and at the moment I dont know if I'll use this web site again as I'm a busy person.
I'm a student studying Countryside Management at Bishop Burton College of Agriculture. I'm interested in everything to do with our planet and how we are using it. Its wildlife, ecosystems, people, history, how we got here, whats been here before us, can we survive, that sort of thing.
I go kayaking every week, but I've only just started really. Although I can now do an eskimo roll. When I leave college I plan to buy my own canoe and all the equipment I need to go off on adventures with my mates. With a canoe you have access to areas that you normally cant reach.
I just bought my first SLR camera and am taking my first steps into the world of amateur photography. Its a minolta 7000x I think, but that mean nothing to me. I'm still figuring out the instruction book, which is alsmost foreign at times.
My dream is to become a freelance photo-journalist, covering the subjects that I'm interested in. I would love to work for National Geographic or Geographical magazine. Travelling around the world writing stories about the things that I love and taking pictures of some amazing sites.
I also love music. I like a lot of everything. Some of my favourite artists are Gomez, Doves, James, DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, James Lavelle, Unkle, U2, Beth Orton........the list goes on and on. But I dont only like one genre. Drum and Bass, Trip Hop, acoustics all sorts.
