2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Started conversation Nov 1, 2013
Oo. Its November.
So, not long until my birthday, and this year, on my birthday, I'm going to be almost exactly one year older than I was on my last birthday.
I was trying to find a theme for my journal a day in November thing this year, and I came up with several, so hopefully one idea may work, though certainly others won't Other ideas, were, probably a bit too odd, like the idea of creating a differnt flavoured otter shaped biscuit each day. Maybe that was an option best left un-explored.
So. Therefore, the main theme, this year will be butter.
The secondary theme, which may start later on today (err like in the morning after bed), is villages and towns of Suffolk and Norfolk (those not yet in the guide, with a vague notion, that either several of them could end up together in a guide entry, or a guide entry on each one (for the ones that wareent having a bit more writen about them).
Anyhow, that, the second idea... still not entirely sure... but it might work... Lodden, Sommerlayton, Brandon, Theatford, Diss Bungay, worlingham, Lound, (or perhaps the Loathingland hundred), etc, may be contenders, though I'll check first, probably to see if any already have guide entrys
Haddiscow, Cantley, Reedham, Brundle, Hailsworth, might be ideas too...
So, though, in order to create, perhaps for the first time, perhaps for the last time, or, indeed, perhaps not at all, some kind of vague notion, of both on-topicness, and of actually having a theme, and, thereby, demonstrating, that, there is, or rather was, some kind of due forethought, we return you to the useual schedule; Butter 1.
had my first butter of the day. on toast, with some ham. No doubt it won't be the last butter of the day.
Butter is, in so many ways, one of those things, which, well, one rarely has only once per day

Exactly.
I permited some subsidary considerations, of, what one might, I guess, call, more mundain things, one could consider for inclusion, but ultimately, decided highbrow was the way to go.
Afterall, was it not Mosis, who, turning to the ant in the dessert, said
"let your lowbrow never rise higher than your eyebrow".
Probably not, but I'm sure we all understood the sentiment there...
Butter, Bungay, and Beccles, all in a single post... struth... some audiences, there's just no* pleasing them

I'd love to read about those villages 2legs, and biscuits. As themes go, that sounds perfect to me. Dunno what my theme will be yet.

If those entries materialise, there really should be a hootoo meet to follow. An evening in Norwich (or Yarmouth - no maybe not), followed up by a day on the Broads to sober up.

even better; a hootoo meat in Beccles, and hire a cruiser for a week... and zoom round the broads Actually Norwich would be a good venue for a meet, tons of pubs, and eaterys, plus a good couple thousand years of history to go look at (I adore the cloisters at the Cathedrial ) plus cow-tower is cool and the loverly walks down by the river, which just happen to pass by some decent pubs en-root
OK.
a journal entry a day for November, on here, with an entry a day on a suffolk/Norfolk Village/town, plus, thanks to Pastey, I'm now doing the Novel in November thing. It'll all end in tears... or bacon... I forget which...
oh, and:
"I can't believe its not Bungay" I think that's the title for the Bungay guide entry sorted!

There is no such thing as too much butter. I for one look forward to it.

Well, as today is still today, err, as in the 1st Nov, I've just had more* butter... quite a lot more butter
One frying pan, a few sprays of spray-oil, 2 'cooking rings', each well* greeced with butter, put into pan; a nice bit of butter put then, into the centre of each cooking ring....
a duck egg, added to each cooking ring (well, taken out of the shell, first, naturally).
Mmm... fry fry fry...
Toast, toasting in the toaster. well, actually, strickly speaking, I guess it was bread* toasting in the toaster
bread toasted... plenty* of butter spread on....
Eggs removed from cookign rings, and flipped over for a few seconds on the other side
Lots of butter, and egg yolk, consequently, adorning my chin, neck, and breasts If only I was supple enough to lick it up off of myself
mmmm... duck eggs are just so tasty... and all the moreso, when butter is judishiously used in prepeartion and serving thereof
That was, I guess, somehing akin to brunch, as I don't really do a seperate breakfast, and lunch, but instead eat in the #baconHour (between 12 and 1 PM), as my first meal of the day Was thinking about having bacon again, in the #baconHour, but decided against it;
I've a cunning plan, a plan, in fact, so cunning, you could smother it in butter, and call it a Polish-style evenign meal.... the plan, does* involve a lot of butter, bacon, onion, musrhoom, garlic, and the weird round cluski (sp?) Polish Dumplings that have been lurking in the freezer for a while now, waiting for a suitable moment and idea with which to cook, eat and serve them
So... there may be quite a lot more butter before the 1st of Nov is out and I shoudl really go get a cloth and clean this egg-yolk up off my err bits

Did anyone else get a bit worried about a 2legs journal involving butter?
