Making bread again... I made bread yesterday... but I ate it all... made more today... weather it'll last any longer is another matter though... Its just far too tasty... Need a bigger loaf tin though...
Of course, today and yesterday are the two hottest days we've had here this year So making bread was probably not a great idea, but I just didn't fancy the idea of buying the mass produced yuk from the shop next door...
I got some bacon out of the freezer too.... That will probably be for something tommorrow, though I may use a bit if I do a risotto tonight...
My 'stuff' still hasn't arrived in the post so I can't get on with finishing off the wood work repairs to the old speakers, and until I can do that, I can't get on and re-do the electrics in them Which reminds me, I must call up and see if my monitor speaker is ready to be picked up yet Its getting a bit overcast here, and humid... I wonder if we'll get a nice big storm

Make extra bread next time, let some of it go mouldy and then you can make this:

Oh yes... he's subjected himself, for the greater good of mankind, to all kinds, manner and types of culinary oddities... well worth a read through the lot; Some of the 'food' concerned I'd not have known existed without his sturling efforts to uphold and further the knowledge of mankind...
That... was amazing....
The bit of left over dough I had yesterday that didn't go into the bread tin, went to make a pretty-damn giant bread roll....
I just toasted it (after of course slicing it in half), Grilled myself some bacon... and applied liberal buttery-goodness to the toasted roll...
So weird... though... I feel the weight of the roll... and think 'oh thats too heavy this isn't going to be very light'.... But, even though its a nice dense consistancy, with that kind of continental texture, and associated 'nutty flavour/texture', its actually really quite 'light' to eat I guess having the sessamy seeds and herbs in there helps with the nutty flavour too though
:: Where's 'my stuff'.... I want to make some baguettes, but the baguette tins arn't here yet... Nor, now i think of it, is the new* larger* bread/loaf tin
I might make a pizza base later for dinner

Why do you need tins for baguettes? Can't you just roll them into long thin....
*backs out, blushing*

well you can, but I always find that when you do that, they don't rise in the right shape, as they tend to go more outwards and then you end up with a funny shaped... thing anyhow, it wasn't very expensive, and I combined on the postage (getting free postage), as I was already wanting to buy the new loaf tin I oughta have some poppy seeds arriving too at some point as the supermarket don't seem to do poppy seeds, and I poppy seed bread
