mmm. I notice that you can buy pre-packed packs of 'fresh' corned beef, I guess already sliced from the supermarket... wonder if it'll taste any differnt... Or should I just get a tin as per useual

It's same-ol-same-ol corned beef. Perhaps with a bit less lardy stuff around the edges, but it doesn't taste any different. I think some people just pay the higher price so they won't open an artery while wrestling with the tin.

I was actually thinking they looked a good idea, on the basis a whole* tin of corned beef is too* much for just me, whereas the pre-packed stuff from the deli counter looks like a pack would be fine for making a lunchtime serving of corned beef sarnies... and its on offer at the supermarket this week

I now have a tin of corned beef in my cupboard

So why didn't they name their newer product "SPURKEY"?

I was going to have Coq au Vin or Chicken Chasseur for tea but the thought of chilled Corned beef smoothered in hot baked beans is very tempting

Maybe they should can the team, as with Spam there are those who would turn their nose up at them but unlike Spam , it’s more digestible

I got a tin of corned beef... and had it in sandwichs a few days back A little disappointed really... maybe I should try a differnt brand... It was... well didn't seem to have half the flavour to it I seem to recall it had back to the #bacon today instead well will be if I can use the kitchen which might not be possible as lodgers not washed up for about a week...

First add some course cut beetroot, then a slice of Spam then a huge dollop of pickle Lilly, more spam and beetroot again. Gives the sandwiches a bit of zing as well as leaving lots of purple juice down your front as you try to eat it ,

Beetroot is one of the very few foods I just don't like at all but spam blimey... Does spam still exist?

Corned beef with Branston pickle sandwich. All you need. (I hate beetroot. Well not so much hate as find it quite disgusting.)

You need something wet to go with it or it’s liken to ploughing your way through a plate of peanut butter sandwiches

There’s pickle and there’s pickle, sorry this one is by passing the shopping trolley. Its strange as you get older you seem to circum to previously declared no go foodie zones but still this one is welcome to stay in deepest

I've tried other types of pickle but always come back to the branston Some of the others I tried I thought were really I dunno... maybe there is a better one but I've not found it
