Should be the name for those E-mails you recieve, which arn't 'spam' as you kinda signed up to them at some point, but which you rarely/ever read, and so which just clutter up your inBox, you know, the 'new items from your favorite sellers', on EBay', the 'offers this week' Emails from Amazon and the 'newsletters' from ... well just about anywhere...
I shoudl relaly go through and start cancelling all the corned beef mail I get

That's a well-chosen name, actually. I like it.

as in... 'just cleared out my spam, and my corned beef'.... Or, 'I really oughta unsubscribe from all these corned beef mails I keep getting' ...
dang... and now I've a craving for corned beef and I don't think I can have eaten any since... oo probably when I were a student

Corned beef hash is nice comfort food. I thought that was what this thread was going to be about - food.

It is now... I'm going to attempt to buy some I think well, not quite* now, I mean its gone middnight and the shops are probably closed

I like the idea of naming various kinds of email after processed meat Spam, corned beef, haslet, salami, pork luncheon meat... damn, I'm hungry now

Haslet - mysterious email, the contents of which you are never sure of even after you've opened it.

I hate the peppered slami Emails the most;
there the advertising ones, that you actually read, and which make* you buy stuff in them...
like the ones from Amazon with new release CDS or recomendations for CDs to buy

Then, of course, there are the parma ham EMails; they were useful when you first started getting them, but for some strange reason you were ment to have stopped getting them, but didn't, and now there is no way of stopping them; I have a few work Emails like this I still get even though I cna't any longer access the work online learning resource/workspace thing in order to stop the Emails coming

'stuffed pancakes'-emails = chain-emails with food receipes that make you gain weight just by reading them

There IS a word for it... just not widely enough used.

Corned Beef is nice. I've got plenty in my inbox and have always felt guilty to move it to the 'spam' folder, seeing that it is not quite spam. Problem solved now

I must agree that corned beef is a better name. Bacn is too good for the stuff.

May I nominated TREET (R) ? Like SPAM (R) it's the brand name of a type of tinned alleged food item, but even more .

Only reason is I like corned beef.

But when we sign up for 'it', we like it too. It's just that it gets annoying after a while.

Must be a regional thing, because I can only get decent corned beef about once a year, so I never get tired of it. A favorite breakfast is corned beef hash, which I think I've had exactly twice in my life.

Chopped potatoes, onions, garlic. Boil till the spuds are dropping into the water. Add Corned beef chunks, OXO cube and HP sauce...

Simmer for five minutes, then serve......
