Because people keep asking...."Why Floopyboo"*
"Floopyboo" is a very very very obscure h2g2 reference.
Douglas Adams suggests that live mattresses, on their home world, move 'floopily'.
One of my old old old nicknames when I was 19, waiflike and adorable was 'Boo'.
So therefor if I am now showing more mattresslike qualities (You've seen the extra paddin') I must be Floopy Boo. ;)
And now you know.
*Plagiarised in it's entirety from my livejournal, where I keep being asked the question to which the answer is definitely not 42.
