I think the problem is when I opened the new account I used the same email address and password as the old one, which wasn`t very clever. Now when I try to reactivate the old one with my email address and password I keep being told that someone else is already registered with those details. The fact that it`s me doesn`t seem to matter.

you are not alone in this - several others seem to have the same problem, just email like the wonderful 'Babe suggests and I'm sure it will get sorted.
