In answer to your question, I think that people want Elvis to be alive simply because he died in such an...unusual manner. Sadly, I fear that the King has left the building for the last time.

Moving on, you say that you are a Paul Simon fan. I am too! Have you heard his new album yet? I have yet to pick it up, but have heard favorable reviews from most people I have talked to. smiley - smiley

Six children! smiley - bigeyes You poor thing, you must be run off your feet! I'm glad that you found this little corner of the multiverse so that you can have at least some time to yourself. My friend has two boys and even visiting them every other week is quite enough for me. You are now officially one of my heroes. smiley - winkeye

It looks as if you have been on H2G2 for about three months now. What do you think of it? Do you have any questions/comments/concerns?

Well, I fear that I am at w*rk and must answer a phone now. If you'd like to chat, please rspond here of visit my homepage. smiley - biggrin

Wow! smiley - bigeyes You've seen Paul in concert?!?! It must of been wonderful! My best concert story was going to see Tom Petty a couple of years back. That was a great concert - but I'm sure it couldn't hold a candle to Paul. smiley - biggrin

Two year olds seem to specialize in driving folks crazy. Hope you got him taken care of and will be back soon. smiley - smiley

Hi, Yes his concert was wonderful, It's the only concert I have ever beeen to and I am waiting for his next one (Hope it won't be long).
Your The One has to be one of his best albums but then most of them are brilliant!!!!
Two year olds are good at driving you mad but all children are good at that no matter how old there are.
What other music do you like??
How about the Beatles?
Oh no maddness strikes AGAIN!!!
See you soon,
Shazw.

Hi, Shazw!

I agree that children in general excel at craziness. My friend's two boys are one and two and they've already learned how to pin blame on each other. smiley - bigeyes When those two get to be teenagers I think that we all might just emmigrate to another continent to get away. smiley - winkeye

Music, huh? Well, my tastes are fairly eclectic. I was raised on Simon and Garfunkle, the Beetles, Peter Paul & Mary, and Neil Diamond. I'm also a fan of Paul Simon, Rush, Tom Petty and Melissa Ethridge now, so the theme of well thought out songs follows me. I also have a weakness for Ska bands, though that's more because the beats are excellent at keeping me awake whenever I drive long distances. smiley - smiley

What kind of music do you like? If you haven't listened to Rush, I would suggest it. Not only is their music very good, the songs have a definite sci-fi bent. Lots of fun.

Sadly, w*rk calls once more. I'll type again soon. smiley - biggrin

Hi G7,
I was raised on Elvis, Johnny Cash, The Beatles and that sort of thing as my mother ran a small record shop utill I was 10 years old,
The first record I got myself was Shakin Stevens Green Door.
I have not listened to Rush as yet but there is still time.
Bye for now,
Shazw.
