I've apologised on the PR thread for Richard Hammond, because it was blunt and rude of me. However, I don't believe that dancingmagicboy, who submitted it, is a 'stranger' - he has only posted twice, once to submit it and once on the thread. I think it's far more likely that 'he' is an alter ego, or a friend roped in for the task. But fair enough, it was out of order

I think that you may well be right, Skanky. But of course with no evidence to back this up, there is no way of knowing for sure.

However, if it happens again...

Benefit of the doubt, yes, but there's always so much doubt with Opti. I was even restrained enough not to bite when she claimed that Wikipedia copied one of her Entries rather than the other way round, you know I know it's wrong, but I'm just very wary of anything she submits now.

Anyway, I'll leave it to you patient types - I'm not even meant to be around at the moment, let alone doing anything controversial!

Oh I'm well aware of Opti. She's on my watch list, along with the likes of Reefgirl, and has been there since that travesty of an entry she cobbled together on foxhunting a year or so back. If one has to come down hard, I'm quite prepared to do so.

Great, thanks GD - sometimes I think I'm the only one to have noticed things like this, probably because I'm the only one who is so explicit about it. I worry that things like this get missed, and probably have a tendency to over-react. Lurking suits me right now, anyway, so I'll just stay subscribed and see how things develop.

And I think it's safer all round if I don't discuss Reef in PR at all

Somewhere or other I have a file with the *exact* timeline, and the who said what, for RG's Haslar Hospital entry. I noticed that once I'd wheeled it out for like the third time she started shutting up about the year / two years / [insert your own number here] years that she'd been ingnored / abused / bullied / [insert your own beligerent verb here] in Peer Review.

That's pretty impressive - I had enough problems with Reef afterwards, despite holding her hand through it and afterwards. You've noted Opti's behaviour, which is very reassuring to me, as quite often these days I feel I'm the only one pointing these things out. I trust you enough for me to button it and lurk - thanks for explaining, and apologies again for the outburst.

You'll note, though, that I qualified the apology with the 'If that is the case...'
