Saw your posts in the Chip Shop thread, and it got too long to reply there...
ah, fishcake, chips and Henderson's relish. A once a year treat for me. Last time I was "home" we got the chips from "over the hill" - couldn't tell you the name of the place - but it's on the hill opposite Oughtibridge.
I haven't had a proper fishcake (due to being away and vegetarian for a long time) for about 20 years.
Did you ever try the Henderson's Desperate Dan Spicy Splash stuff? I could possibly be the last person on the planet with some of that. (carefully hidden, i might add)

My local chip shop think that I'm odd because I'm the only one of their customers who takes his chips without salt & vinegar. I must one day let them into the secret of the Hendo's that I dredge the chips in when I get home. (I also tend to add a blob of mayonnaise on the side, as I really liked chips with that when I lived in Holland).
I shall be back in Sheffield next month to eat fishcakes; to stock up on more relish (I've about a quarter bottle left at the moment); and to watch the Blades stuff the Owls at the Lane

you had to ruin it with that last sentence - and of course while I hope you have fun in Sheffl... that you end up with fishcake all over your face!!
We have about half a gallon of Relish left. Since I'm the only one who uses it, I think it will suffice until next year.
Oh man, you've made me nervous next week - I've been avoiding looking at anything footie shaped or related this season.

That was deliberate of course
Anyway your lot aren't doing too disasterously this season. Still, it's six easy points from where I'm sitting
