h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*Miles of shoreline stretch away from the city docks to the North and South. These miles of golden sandy beaches, soaring cliff tops and cavernous openings could be the setting of many a dramatic tale.*

*But today there can only be found Prof. Chaos, calming himself to the sound of the waves gently hitting the shore, the cull of seagulls flying past and the clang of his giant gauntlet wreaking havoc on training dummies*

Alex Ferrous: "Oh, hi Prof.! How are you? I'm practicing frisbee with circular sawblades,- it's fun, but kinda too dangerous to invite other people to play."

"Bye!"
*jogs off to somewhere else.*

*The Armadillo pops his head out from a hole in the sand*
"Hey! Whatcha doing?"
*circular saw barely misses his head*
"Oh, I understand now! This looks dangerous, but I'll hang around anyways!"

Grey Swordsman: "Oops, ... It's Frisbee (of Death ). I'm not superstrong though, so I can't use something duller like a manhole-cover. Oops."

"I can make a pretty good version of a 'life-size'scale pinball game, if you want though."

*Generates some flippers and railings, bumpers, etc. (don't forget the spring driven plunger) and then makes himself "into the ball."*

}Ding ding!{ etc.

"Oh man, I love pinball!"

*flies in, sits down on the beach cross-legged, and begins to meditate, as not to change the weather too much.*

Grey Swordsman: "Oh, That's good-then."
*slides up the railing, while ricocheting off bumpers, etc.*

*shows up as Anthony Van Tome, his alter-ego.*

*observes the virtual weather (which is nothing like the real weather)*

pinball on the beach, bit of an odd pasttime. have you ever heard of frisbee?

*there is some more whooshing & clanging, etc. as the Grey Swordsman uses himself for the life-size scale pinball*

*In the distance, Crimson Lady can be seen balancing on an rock practicing the Crane stance a la Karate Kid*

*giggles, nudges the quipper and points to the figure on the rock*

she hasn't noticed that seagul just pooed on her.

*giggles*

plus she looks really really silly!
