What a lovely name. It has an essential feminine quality that attracted me. I'm sure it suits you perfectly. And because I am a dirty old man who knows how to mind his own business (complimenting your femininity falls within that pervue) you will probably hear no more from me. Unless the rabble here encourage you to the dizzy heights of VidKid Fantasy and you change it to DATA-LORD or somesuch travesty. Humbug. Peace.

DataLore

Well, thank you for your kind words. I am very glad that you like my name. I chose it for its duality - "Data," as in information, hard facts, and "Lore," as in storytelling, mythology. I thought it was a good name to use as an agent for the Guide because the Guide, though it contains much that is apocryphal, has already supplanted the great Encyclopedia Galactica as the standard repository for all knowledge and wisdom in the galaxy.

Also, it sounds good together. "DataLore" kind of rolls off the tongue, I think.

And, of course, it came from Star Trek. "DataLore" was the title of the episode where the coldly analytical android Data meets his emotional but evil brother Lore.

That is the origin and meaning behind my name. I assure you it will never change to DATA-LORD.

Again, thank you for noticing my name, as I am quite proud of it. However, in the future, when complimenting someone on their femininity, might I suggest that you make sure that the person in question is, in fact, feminine. I, myself, am not feminine... I apologize if my name and description gave you that impression.

All the best smiley - smiley
