Hello Doctor!!!... what are you a doctor of!?? Music!??
Love your page... I enjoyed every bar of it!!!
I'm here to invite you to our e-group for muses. [URL removed by moderator]. As a member, you'll be ahead of everyone else regarding Musenews(what will be opening in the Musehome and when, ideas on what they should be like, etc), as well as "normal" discussion. It's a great place to share links, and you can create and vote in polls.
Of course you don't HAVE to join us there... but I don't think you would regret it at all!!!
HAPPY MUSINGS!!!

Thank you for your kind words.
I am a doctor in Gabology, which has indeed a lot to do with music, but mostly I give Fictive Music Advice.
This is very important: most people live their lives without a fitting soundtrack, and miss out on some important highlights. It is my belief that most people are a lot happier than they realise due to this lack of appropriate sounds.
I am already a member of e-groups, so it will be my pleasure to join you there.

WONDERFUL!! You are most welcome for the kinds words!!!
...What EXACTLY is Gabology!!??? Helping others help themselves by finding the soundtrack to their life!??
My soundtrack's about three, maybe four cds all ready... And not because I'm old, but because I have been blessed with a piano teacher for a mother, and music is a centrifical force in my family!!!
See you at the e-group!!!
Have I mentioned Calliope Stage!?? There's more to be learned at the e-group...

Gabology is not an exact science, and there is no exact definition (gabologists are working on it, but can't agree about it: they are by nature rather rebellious), and it has a lot to do with the "soundtrack to your life", but it's also a way of teaching people to find that soundtrack themselves, without the restraints of "genres and sub-genres", which are needlessly confusing, and discovering the fresh and healing properties of any kind of eclecticism and "fusion" (not only music-wise, although that's the best starting-point, but EVERYWHERE: cultures, races, religions, foods, philosophies, etc..., you name it, it's there).
So, you're in luck if you've already got 3 or 4 cd's worth.
That's between 4 and 5 hours , lots of people stick to 4 or 5 minutes). Just make sure your soundtrack doesn't sound all the same, but you're a muse after all...
Oh, I'll check out everything about the Calliope Stage (she's one of my favourite muses)...

addendum:
Whilst checking out the Uterpe Concert Hall, I noticed the quote (Rumi): a very important part of gabology consists of learning to HEAR that inward music.

YAY for RUMI!!! I adore him... and Lennon... and Herman Hess(Siddhartha)... and ESPECIALLY Hawthorne!!! Oh the men in my life!!!
I need to find a good qoute for Calliope's... It should be easy, with my new copy of Bartlett's(that I got for Christmas!!!!)... I prefer to use quotes I found on my own, from favorite wuthors(other pages have words from Dickinson)...
Variety is the spice of life... I guess I am a gabologist in my own right-- I encourage musicals on others, and dive into older music and new... but my resting spot REALLY is with classic rock and roll!!!
Thanks for your visit to Calliope's!!!

Looking for quotes? Visit "[URL removed by moderator]", it's fun.
Watch out for Einstein's quotes: he had a wicked sense of humour.
One of my own favourites (not from quoteland), which I sometimes use as e-mail-signature is:
"Qui vit sans folie n'est pas si sage qu'il croit" (La Rochefoucauld: "Maximes")

::trying to translate quote::... Something about "Who (does something) without folly is not wise!??"
EH!??

translation (literal):
"(s)he who lives without folly is not as wise as (s)he thinks."
The repeated "(s)" is mine, the rest not.
