Poor Poor Marcus Mouse :-(

smiley - mousesmiley - esuom

smiley - cry I am very sad to report that Marcus smiley - mouse died yesterday. Mum and I were actually attending a performance of a Requiem (spooky!) and when we returned, I checked my mice before going to bed and found Marcus was hunched up and looking very unwell. Lately she'd been losing weight, but she still looked healthy, and she'd been rather fat before, so I thought the weight loss was a good thing. She'd gone down to a normal weight, and then suddenly appeared to lose it all in about two days. smiley - blue
So when I picked her up she felt lighter than a baby mouse, and it was very sad. I carried her upstairs, where I prepared a special container just for her. She was very non-responsive, apart from sniffing some food I offered her. She didn't eat, and then a few minutes later she curled up and died. smiley - wah It was lovely of her to wait until I got home, though.

She was about a year and a half old, maybe older, and they normally only live 18 to 24 months. I thought maybe she'd had a tumour, as she'd been so fat, and then had suddenly lost all the weight as one does with cancer. In April I got Marcus two young friends, as I thought she might be lonely. She seemed to be very happy with her two friends, so I don't think they killed her. I hope not. smiley - wah

I bought Marcus about a year ago, this is the journal entry: F59801?thread=293006 and Marcus's web site: http://www.geocities.com/marcusthegirlmouse. Marcus was the inspiration for A2524592 which is being edited. smiley - smiley

Hitchhikers Film

smiley - doh Took me ages to notice they've actually started to do something on this! I've had a squiz around IMDb to see what I can find out. I see they're trying to make as many people as possible American...typical. Not that it ever says that they weren't American, but still...smiley - groan

Martin Freeman...well, at least he's English and he's not Jim Carrey.

Mos Def as Ford...he was in the Italian Job, so he can't be all bad. I don't remember him too well from that film, except if he was really bad I would've remembered it.

Who the hell is Questular? And Humma Kavular? Are they minor randoms that I don't remember from the books? Or is that Humma guy the made up one? smiley - yikes

I think I'm looking forward to the film. Should be tolerable, maybe even good. Shame DNA can't be around to see it.

Sweet Sixteen. Urgh.

So here I am as a 16-year-old, feeling exactly the same as I did yesterday, and not at all excited that it's my birthday.

smiley - erm

Maybe I'm getting old? smiley - yikes

My new school is an odd place where people like to
a) sing happy birthday
b) give presents
c) write "Happy Birthday Niwty" on whiteboards (Niwty representing a diminutive of my RL name which nobody is allowed to call me)

smiley - erm

My lovely "best friend" (hate that expression, but anyway) at my new school gave me a book she'd compiled of all our funny sayings and jokes from this school year. It was absolutely wonderful, and really really funny. I mean really funny. We were both crying and finding it hard to breathe, due to the funniness.

Annoyed. Not posting.

I haven't exactly posted much recently, because I was so fed up with everything and my brain was boiling and coming out of my eyes. I've had a really busy week and I was able to keep away from posting fairly easily. I've been playing a lot of bass drum (that sounds really sad) and pretending to do a lot of work (just kidding, I have really been doing work).

Anyway, I'm not intending to reply to all the conversations soon, but I am planning to dump a whole lot of entries in Peer Review all on one day, just to annoy people. And then maybe I'll reply to all my threads. smiley - winkeye

smiley - fish all round...

I am even more pissed off that I was before.

I swear, everything that was annoying me has suddenly magnified and become even worse! It feels like my brain is boiling with annoyance and that it will all start coming out my eyeballs soon! smiley - cross
