I'm back from my longish overseas holiday now - and really glad to be in the hot weather. Well, sort of. It's a bit tiring. Paris wasn't bad, we didn't spend much time there though. The general idea was for me to practise speaking French, which I refused to do because I was too scared. I forced my parents to stumble through. Well, it was good practice for them. I don't think they were very impressed. smiley - devil

Thing is, before France I'd been in Italy, where I had a great time speaking Italian, and when I was in France I was still feeling rather Italianish and not quick enough to change into French. Every sentence I said lapsed into Italian halfway through. It was really weird. When I arrived back school had finished but I won a prize for Italian, with money, and now I'm even less keen on doing French next year rather than Italian! Gah! smiley - steam

The flight back to Oz was interesting. I went for 45 hours with only half an hour's sleep. That's the longest I've ever been. Oddly enough I wasn't too tired. I was just a zombie. Oh, and I saw "Pirates of the Carribean" on the plane, which was nice for me. And "Uptown Girls", although on the first flight it turned out that some bright spark had thought it would be a good idea to dub it into French, which was rather annoying. (Fortunately it was on the next flight as well, in English.) smiley - biggrin

We brought a grown-up Scottish cousin from the U.K. back to Australia with us. She has red hair and sleeps about 16 hours out of every 24.

On holiday, my baby sister read (at least twice each time, plus some other books): The Jungle Book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass, Stuart Little, Charlotte's Web, The Trumpet of the Swan, Black Beauty, The One Hundred and One Dalmations and The Starlight Barking. She still managed to have left-over time in which she was annoying to me. smiley - grrsmiley - love

Actually I followed you to Paris, but I didn't find you. Or maybe it was while you were in Switzerland. Oh well... .-P

I didn't see this. Did I ever even ask you about yourself and how you were, and what you'd done?

God, I'm so bloody selfish.
