I sympathize. I live in Texas, and if you're in the armpit of america then Texas is the sweaty crotch of america (Ye Gods!! it was in the upper 80's till after Halloween this year!)
Later,
Dave.

Hmmm, I only insult my own region. I'll leave Texas to you. It was a pretty warm fall up here too, It was still pushing 80 all the way to the end of October. Anyway, thanks for the hello.

Dont complain too much.
I live in Northern Ireland, where it will hover around the 30s or 40s for the next 3 months and rain constantly, usually with gale force winds.
But, yeah, I think Ive been to Iowa, and I kinda know what you mean.
On another note, you wiil look back to your college days and smile, remembering the time when you didnt really have to have a job, just free time.
Enjoy the guinness

My friend, 30's to 40's is nothing. Here within a month, we'll be below 0. And occasionally gale force winds will make an appearance as well.
As for enjoying my college years, I smile about it now. Although I do need a job, fairly rapidly. I'll be lucky to make rent next month.
And I always enjoy Guinness.

Again, I know that you go well below freezing, but at least that doesn't allow the constant, miserable rain that we get for 6 months of the year, followed by slightly less frequent rain for 5 months, then a moderately warm monthe and a water shortage.
Enjoy the vaiety of weather you get from living a thousand miles from the sea.
I've tried American Guinness. Interesting.

A valid point. I've had Irish Guiness, and it's admittedly far better than this pathetic American version. Still, when I compare it with this salty, watery crap we call American domestics, I'll take it any day.
Key: Complain about this post
