"Sailor on Horseback"
Today I would like to talk to you about the biography of Jack London, which I haven't read and can't find. Nor do I know anything about Jack London, save the simple fact that his biography has the title I would have wanted for my own, though I am not a sailor and have only ridden a horse once.
My ex-girlfriend took me out to Indian Caves in southeast Nebraska and bought little horse-rides for both of us. A month later she crushed my heart like a mouse 'neath the foot of a woman in four-inch stiletto heels. That was the last time I ever rode a horse.
I drink too much and don't have a job, but since I have a year's income saved up I don't really care yet. Next January I will be heading back to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to finish up my degree in Classics.
Classics is the study of ancient Greece and Rome, with their requisite dead languages and a marginal study of early Christianity.
Everyone else asks, why wouldn't you? Anyway. "Sailor on Horseback" is at the top of my reading list but I can't find it, not even from Cinnamon and Kat at A Novel Idea Bookstore. I think they must hate me by now because I keep going in and asking for things they will never have, like "Sailor on Horseback," "Tea and Sympathy," Burton's "Anatomy of Melancholy," and any of the Greek texts from the Loeb Classical Library.
Have a nice day.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
