And Prof, yes, it's really bad. The town where I used to live in North Carolina has no electricity and no petrol. Whole small towns in the mountains there have completely disappeared. Houses floated away. The National Guard had to rescue people and animals by boat.

Nobody expects a hurricane to go 300 miles inland and hit communities 2000 feet above sea level. Where the hurricane made landfall was 1000 miles from here! But we haven't seen the sun since early last week. It's been raining for days. We're just lucky that the dangerous part had passed before it got to us.

The insurance paid most of it. Cost me $45.

The expensive part is Thursday - and it's not fun. I have to have all but two of my lower teeth pulled. And then wait until the new year for the false teeth. That's why I had to go to the grocery! I needed to stock up on soft food.

I hear you. At least it's better now that we have Medicare. We just pay a small supplement on top of what's given - and we still have to pay copays and such.

Anyway, though, I was feeling kind of blah about the week, but then Sasha got my book up on sale, so now I have something to be cheerful about. Because I've been writing it since January.

Also, because I put funny pictures in, like my cat wearing a Roman helmet.
