We've had a LOT of bad weather over here. Not where we are - it's just been raining all week and it's kind of miserable. But the hurricane tore up a lot of western North Carolina, including where I used to live!

It was just a before-and-after photo. The flooding wiped out a WHOLE town.

We're not talking about rain. We're talking about landfall with 140 mph winds, massive floods, trees down everywhere, and no power. Also flooding at 2000 feet above sea level! Very big.

Not so much the dollars cost as such! But the long term effects on those that have had damage to property etc and getting their lives back together!

You said it. Roads are closed, places wiped out. The students at the university up there are stuck, nobody can get in or out. Other places, the National Guard is rescuing people by boat, etc. It's a lot.

And no electricity or phone service.
