It's fairly cool here, 76F and sunny. Nice weather.

a few year ago I said to someone, about a particular thing (can't remember what)
But! my answer was:- I'm soo cool and chilled out! I walk horizontally

To my surprise it took the person a good few seconds thinking time

But! I know there's more thickies out thereand I HAVE to get my humour and laughs from some of them

It's like this video I saw today: A very dedicated history guy has FINALLY made his movie about his hometown back in the days of the Puritans. He showed excerpts and explained the history.

He and these other actors were dressed up like the 17th Century. And talking a great deal of nonsense in funny accents.

'That's what I like to see,' I told Elektra. 'You have to remember that those people were LIKE that. They weren't pretending!'

Of course, a lot of people on the internet aren't pretending, either. Unfortunately.

Old languages etc are seen today of ridicule etc

as in;- gadzooks! and other early century words etc - how times change eh!

plus how words etc from all parts of the world have "mingled" into many cultures
including peoples names etc

That's very true. My dad used to work with a gentleman whose last name was Hogg. (English ancestors, of course.)

The two of them carpooled with Mr Green. Who was Jewish and I suspect his ancestors came from Budapest. Mr Green and my dad liked to joke. So Mr Green told Mr Hogg, 'I shouldn't get in the car with you. You're not kosher.' (He and my dad thought this was funny. Engineers and jokes. )

Many of life's "presumed" parameters/idealisms etc change and adapt over the years/centuries as "expected"
But! Alas! Religions and dogma will take millennia to change

When I'm "deep" into Civ'6 and in "full domination mode" time means nothing = big bang theory nerds and their gaming

I know. I used to be a GM. People would play the game in marathon sessions.

Since I left that job I haven't played anything other than the occasional game of Angry Birds.

"game of Angry Birds" I bought 6 of those games for the PC

Alas! I play them now and againas When my PC goes awol I lose all the scores and have to start again

There's a very nice man down in Somerset, I think it is, named Carl Bovis. He takes terrific bird photos and shares them on Twitter. He also sells calendars, etc.

Lately he's been posting pics of birds flying with their wings tight against their sides. He claims 'people are throwing birds at him'. I think he must have played some Angry Birds.

I think it's funny that the Angry Birds people are in Finland - but they use OUR birds. Like Red the Cardinal. I have cardinals in my yard all the time. We call, 'Hello, Red!'

Old joke! But not about him. A friend of mine - the one who talked us into moving to Greece to work - was from a family from Pontios. That's a part of Turkey that used to be Greek.
