Yep. It's easy to make stuff up on the web. Last night, we were watching a 'documentary' about ghosts. Ha! The two guys in it were real ninnies, with more tattoos than brain cells...

By the end, the 'ghost' left footprints on their floor...looked like a giant chicken! We laughed so hard...

We had to go to the doctor's for the annual checkup today. The young lady assistant ran through the checklist with me.

She: It's time for your Depression Checkup.

Me: Huh?

She: Are you depressed?

Me: No.

She: Okay. That's done, then.

I had a phone consultation the other day with a consultant, re my breathing/lungs etc - Yep! Your blood/oxygen tests etc are ok - how you feeling etc ?
I'm ok! (biting my tongue thinking"I'M talking to you on the phone! So I'm still alive")

Yep. That's the sort of thing that drives you mad.

The other day, we went into the hospital to have blood tests, or so we thought.

First, you have to check in. 'Do you have shortness of breath, fever, etc?' 'Nope.' 'Have you been around anybody who was sick?' 'Nope.' 'Been out of the state?' 'Nope.' Get a sticker and go to the next one.

'What do you want?' 'Blood tests.' 'Go over there.' Fine.

She stares at the computer screen. 'Birthdays?' She stares...

To me: 'You have an x-ray tomorrow.'

Me: 'No, I don't.'

She: 'Oh, yeah, that was three years ago...' Stares some more. 'Sorry. I don't have any tests for you.'

We leave. I told the nurse practitioner all about it. She's the best. She said, 'Okay, I'm going to give you the papers. That way, they can't lose them.' She also said something about that receptionist having 'no brains'....

I always say! - What's your name ? oh! hard questions first eh!

They have this newfangled idea about checking in at the doctor's office. They hand you this computer slate. The material is supposed to be anti-bacterial. Anyway, you have to go through all the questions to fill it out.

So, I'm sitting in this chair. With a mask on. And reading glasses, which are fogging up because...mask.

And it asks a million questions. Your birthdate. Your address. Who can we tell this information to? Then comes the good part.

'Put your insurance card on a level surface and take a photo of it.' I hold the thing over my lap while I put the card on the magazine on my lap. Then try to push the touch screen...okay, after a while it works...

'Now, turn the card over and take a picture of the other side.'

'Now swipe your credit card to pay $5,' okay, that takes four tries, finally. Yes, yes, send the receipt for the bleedin' $5 to my email account.

Finally, the long boiler-plate 'you can't sue us, you have to pay the bill, etc, etc' comes. 'You have to sign it.' I try and try. 'You have to sign it with your finger.' Are you kidding???

I finally had to take it back to the window for help.

Got home. Had an email. 'Would you fill out our survey? How can we improve?'

I wrote in the box: 'Please stop making visually-impaired seniors in masks fill out those tablets. Send the info through your perfectly secure portal online.'

Anyway, Elektra says hi, and for me to say good-night. So good-night!

my other one kept sort of scrambling the picture intermittently ?
I sprayed the inside with an air canister thing no better So I thought sod it! Can't be bothered to take it to a repair shop, buy a new'un
I've asked my son if he knows a mate etc who'd like one for nowt
