Yeah. It's nothing new. I spent all afternoon researching and writing a Guide Entry about what was going on in the US in 1828. Guess what? There were hypocrites, and corrupt politicians, and people insulting hard-working journalists, and bad court cases....

In other words, exactly like now.

How true. You'd like this lady I researched - her name was Anne Royall. She didn't let anybody get away with telling lies. She was a writer and a journalist. She travelled all over the US in the 1820s! And she was almost 60!

She almost got murdered on the way to Pittsburgh. It was really wild back then.

mam has 2 grey squirrels in the area and they nick the food etc she neighbours puts out for the birds

If you have a feeder like ours, the chipmunks can get food, but the squirrels can't get too much. If they stand on the feeder rail, they're too heavy and it weighs down and closes it.

Now, when the chipmunks have babies, the little ones can climb inside the feeder. We've had baby chipmunks inside, and birds, too. In summer, my sister always runs out to the feeder when she gets to the house, to see if there's anything in there. She enjoys this so much.
