No allergies in this house, thank goodness, just strong preferences. I do have weird kids, though--both girls love raw onion, to the point that, when PaperKid (8) was Notepad's age (3 on 2/16) (and now with Notepad) I had to watch for fingers when chopping, because onion would be snitched from the cutting board Heck, PaperKid wouldn't eat mashed potatoes until she was nearly 4... I bought unsweetened white grapefruit juice a couple of weeks ago, on the assumption that I wouldn't have to share and Notepad drank at least half the bottle, with no modifications!

When we were kids, we begged for raw hamburger. But later, my youngest sister wouldn't eat meatloaf. Go figure.

So, assuming it's not too cloudy, would you like a video of the eclipse (projected) for ? Or if it is, a video of the attempt to view? I'm in the path of getting to see the "ring of fire"

Do you have a Youtube or Vimeo account? If you could post a video there, we could make a page with a short description of your experience, and a still pic. Then we could link to the video.

I think I have a YouTube account (I know the ministry does, but I don't remember if I made one for myself, as well) Of course, since it's obvious I won't get in this week's Post, I have a few days to get it online (assuming it works--it was clearing up, but the wall next door is less bright than when I sat down here...)

I got a couple seconds, just before the fog rolled in, and after it burned off. The fog was thick enough that, while there were no shadows, the sun was no brighter than the moon, so could be viewed, until I lost it. The really annoying thing is, watching it on the bigger screen of my laptop, inside, you can tell that the sun is just over *there* 'cause that's where the screen is brightest *headdesk*

I might stick it online anyway, just for the heck of it. If I do, I'll give you the link and let you decide
