The two rodents in question are Seymour, the Post Office Groundhog, and Chippy the Chipmunk. Both of them were especially alert on this gorgeous day, peering keenly into the distance for no reason I could discern. Perhaps they knew something I didn't. Anyway, I appreciated the pictures.

I thought they went well with some Satie, so you get Gymnopedie No 1.

Today is one of those phenomena we get nearly every August in western Pennsylvania: after a couple of months of heat, we'll get a few days, maybe even a week, of perfect skies and pleasant temperatures, around 21C. Then it will get hot again, usually right in time for school to start, as I remembered to my disgust.

So we enjoyed the beauty on the porch, and shared it with the groundhog, the chipmunk, and the bluejays.

Lovely video! I particularly like how the movements of the rodents are in time to the music - great choice!

I'm impressed by how close you were able to get to Chippy - unusual to see the chipmunk staying so still, as the other videos show it busily munching!

Great footage of the Bluejays, too smiley - magic

Thanks, Sasha! smiley - smiley

The groundhog's skittish and will run off, so I can only get him with the zoom.

The chipmunk's so tame it runs under our chairs on the porch and looks at us like, 'You lookin' at me? I'm walkin' here!' That corner of the porch is only about four feet away, and if you don't make any sudden moves, he's good to stay there. He's more worried about hawks and such. smiley - winkeye

smiley - laugh Cheeky Chippy! So good when wildlife feels comfortable in a garden - we feed them and they get closer than usual in the wild, so it is beneficial all round smiley - zen

So a groundhog's like a beaver and a fat rat got together one night?

And a chipmunk is just a punky looking squirrel!

Attenborough move over!

Lovely images. smiley - applause
