Hi,
As you may have noticed I do enjoy spelling words incorrectly
because of the associated meanings that come forth.
'Whirled' smiley - earth is the one I'm most often called up on.

Your spelling of hindrance as hinderence in the context of gays
brought a smile by association because hind means rear end. The
other meaning, a female deer, is perhaps less obvious unless you
also spell it 'dear' and think of doe eyes.

I really wish you'd taken credit for it; now I feel like a real
pedant for picking on your spelling.

And I can't even delete the entry! Damn.

And please don't worry. My friend Dave (names not changed to protect the innocent), is an ex-proof reader. And reminds me at every opportunity.

Trust me. You are a beginner in the pedant stakes! smiley - biggrin

Robin.

I just had a read of your homepage intro
apparently created in 2008 and updated 2010.
But your U-number is lower than mine.
Anyway...

So far I haven't seen any other response to your query
about shoes along the roadway so I am obliged to offer
that this old mystery used to baffle me for years until
someone suggested they were fallen off of wedding cars.
smiley - bigeyes
May or may not be true, but in the absence of a better
explanation I have clung to it now for some time. It
does explain the single-ness of them and why they are
found along the roadway.

Oh! I hadn't thought of wedding cars! I'm not convinced that that will account for ALL of them but it should take care of a proportion.

As for my front page, I do rather neglect it.

I don't know why it seems to start in 2008. I think I have been around here since the early 2000's. Maybe 2000 itself.

I won't be able to get to a post office until Monday, but will let you know when Marmite hits the postal super-highway.

My Uncle emigrated to Canada in the 60's. He went to Winnipeg. You must have met him.

Take care.

Robin.

Hey! I saw the pic of your pink paisley guitar recently.
Nice one! Been meaning to mention it somewhere.
smiley - ok
It really helps me erase all the other speculations
I've had about your name over the years. And it gives
my perceptions of you something solid to hang on to.
Very psychedelic!

Oh, there was something else you said somewhere that
really impressed me and I meant to comment... but the
conversation had rushed on and now, like the lost chord
it is beyond recovery, leaving only a fond and pleasant
memory and assurance of a better possible whirled.

smiley - cheers

Thank you. And a mystery solved then.

Actually I have the 'brother' to the Pink Paisley telecaster too.

Just like the pink one, it is in perfect nick and has never been played. I guess that my son gets the blue one!

I play my £250 Squier tele out of choice.

Be good.

Happy New Year to you and yours.

Robin.
