I got the second book (Stalking the Darkness) yesterday. I am going through it, but trying to ration it, I don't want to read it too fast... What a great series! Thanks again for telling me about it.
I also got and read in one sitting, another Nightside book, by Simon R Green. Sheer

Have you ever read 'The Gandalara Cycle', by Vicki Ann Heydron and Randall Garrett? I own only the 7th one, 'The River Wall', abd I was re-reading it (last read 1989) while waiting for the Flewelling book to arrive. It's wonderful!!!

Heydron and Garrett were writing the 'Gandalara Cycle' together, and then he had a stroke. She continued to write from their outline, and finished Book 7 all by herself. I wrote her a fan letter (the first ever!) and she thanked me for what I'd said, and told me he had died. 
This was in about 1987.
