Hi, Space Chief, Welcome to H2G2.

This sucks. I never got one of these. Guess that what us trailblazers get though, after all, I was one of the first 33337 people to join. If that was a limited edition number sci-fi people would still buy it.
Hi, Space Chief, Welcome to H2G2.
Gw7en, Voice of Chaos (Classic) Posted Oct 11, 2000
I can go greet you, if you want, but it would seem somewhat strange to me since you joined before I did. Ah, the conundrum...

Hi Gw7en - cheers! What a friendly place this is....
Researcher 33337 - doesn't it tell you something that someone who joined after you has risen to a much higher rank? You've just been lazing around writing about wasps and stuff. Don't you feel inadequate now? Heeheehee.
Hi, Space Chief, Welcome to H2G2.

I'm glad that you seem to be enjoying yourself, Space Chief. You're right, H2G2 *is* a friendly place!
I sure don't mean to step on 33337's toes, however. 33337 seems like a nice enough chap and has an interesting page. Just needs a little more motivation. (I was the same way until the Church of the True Brownie came along.)

Oh, don't worry about him, he's fine really. In real life, he's not quite as cynical as some of his articles make him seem.
I shudder to think what he'd be like if he *found* a true cause of some sort, though!
Hi, Space Chief, Welcome to H2G2.
Researcher 33337 Posted Oct 12, 2000
I think I will intecede here with my ever comical "huh?"
And I am not disenheartened. I have been buisy with, umm, that thing. Umm and television, yes television. And I am a dark cynical character and you all know it. No I don't smile, and I don't seem chirpy. Damn.
Hi, Space Chief, Welcome to H2G2.
Gw7en, Voice of Chaos (Classic) Posted Oct 12, 2000
Well, nice to know we all agree on your personality, 33337. You seem like a very nice person to me, but then I've always had the heart of a cynic myself.

Space Chief, Keeper of the Destructo-Ray Posted Oct 13, 2000
You've been busy with "that thing"? Can I ask for more details here, or do I not want to know?
And as for television - do dark and cynical characters really watch Sailor Moon? I mean, *really*?
Hi, Space Chief, Welcome to H2G2.
Gw7en, Voice of Chaos (Classic) Posted Oct 13, 2000
From what I hear, Sailor Moon is a universal constant. I've only seen a few episodes, I fear - I work a funny shift, so am almost never home to watch it.

Researcher 33337 Posted Oct 13, 2000
I didn't realise sailor moon was that important. Wow. And Someone who watches it can be dark and scary. I could get a tuxedo, and a mask.
Hi, Space Chief, Welcome to H2G2.
Researcher 33337 Posted Oct 16, 2000
Oh he was, but in earlyer episodes he has amnesia and tries to use this to appear dark, scary and unpredictable. It doesn't work. he is actually turned evil later by queen beryl though.

'Hello!'
Welcome to h2g2.com! You are most likely new here and find the site to be a bit huge and hard to get a handle on.
I wear a lot of different hats around the site, but one of my favourites is that of an ACE (Assistant Community Editor). The ACEs are a volunteer group which the site has asked to go around and greet newcomers and steer them toward a few of the places we feel should be highlighted.
This site is designed to become an interactive and updatable Guide to Life, the Universe and Everything (much like the fictional Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in Douglas Adams' books), the big difference is we're only seeking entries about good old planet Earth and its environs.
One of the first things you'll want to check out is the writing guidelines at http://www.h2g2.com/Writing-Guidelines These contain a wealth of ideas to get started writing Guide Entries of your very own.
Browsing the Edited Guide with the Search Engine can also be fun. I've been here for over a year and still do it from time to time - it's amazing what things people have written. Including an amusing entry on "How To Pick Up A Porcupine - A Personal Perspective" at http://www.h2g2.com/A306361
Anyway, I hope that long rambling monologue was helpful! If you've got any questions, feel free to stop by my Personal Space at http://www.h2g2.com/U53353 and leave a message.
Hope to see you around the Guide soon! And welcome!!

Howdy, Jimi! Good to see ya!
So, out of a dreadful and possibly near-fatal curiousity, Sailor Moon does marry Tuxedo Mask, right? And they have a daughter - the pink haired kid who's name I can't remember right now. Does that mean he becomes good again? Or is that before the Berel incident?

Fox kids never got that far but teh internet is a wonderful place. Darien looses his memories again as do teh sailor scouts. But the scouts get tehir memories back (As soon does darien) after his instinctive need to protect teh sailor scouts manifests itself as the Moonlight Knight. And tehy do marry and tehir daughter comes back through time, apparently called, sailor minimoon.
(I shall call her, Minimoon)

Hi Jimi!
Just how many titles is it possible to pick up on this place? ACE, Guru, Keeper, Angel, Scout - don't you think it's hierarchical enough in the real world, or something? Why can't we all just be *equal*, and...and...stuff?
Or, more importantly, is there anyone who has all of these titles, and how cool are they?
Sailor Moon
Space Chief, Keeper of the Destructo-Ray Posted Oct 23, 2000
The big question is, does Serena ever do a duet with MiniMoon? Singing their version of Will Smith's "Just the Two of Us", in a cool way? Except it'd have to be "Just the Ten of Us", or something, once you take into account Tuxedo Mask and all the Sailor Scouts.
Sailor Moon
Researcher 33337 Posted Oct 23, 2000
That would be cool. and fox kids have caught up so I have now seen minimoon. And it's good to have tuxedo mask back, unlike the moonlight night he doesn't feel the need to yammer on about teamwork instead of performing his normal role of looking spiffy and distracting teh monster long enough for teh sailor scouts to do something effective.

I've been watching them on Cartoon Network when I can, so I had met MiniMoon before. (BTW, love the name and the concept for the duet!) I have to admit that I'm enjoying it much more since I'm getting the background here. Any other things I should be on the look out for?
