h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Sorry about this mass-posting, but I've just taken over the reins of h2g2 University from Peta, and thought it might be an idea to visit the current projects and get a feel for how they're coming along. This is mostly to familiarise myself with the scope of the task I've taken on, but also to make Mark think I'm being industrious.

And I definitely don't mean to be putting on any pressure to finish, or anything like that - we like to get projects when they're ready, not if they're rushed. It's really just to help me get the general h2g2 University picture. Honest.

So, how's your project 'Biological Waste Water' coming along?

Shortly before you took over the UoL I posted to the egroup that "we" are subbing it. Trillian's Child is busy with that task. As I am back from vacances right now, I will see how far she has come in the meantime.

How shall we procede with this? Using this forum or the egroup?

Thanks for your feedback - glad to hear the project's still ongoing.

The University eGroups list will probably get my attention more quickly than anything else, so I should use that.

We're looking into overhauling the University, and are contacting Researchers who have a project listed. Yours is so very very nearly completed.

Would you consider pulling it out of the university, and submitting the entry to Peer Review? If you are intending to continue working on it as a project, then just let us know, and we can update the deadline when we have finished our overhaul.

I'm so sorry - this is all my fault. I have completely overhauled three of the entries and should be able to manage the remainder to complete the project so it's ready for university publication. However, I daren't promise I will find the time for this and would be happy to pass them on to another subeditor.

I offered to assist Holle Polle on this as I was (a) extremely interested in the subject matter and (b) wiling to help with his English.

The re-worked and subedited versions are available on my page and the rest are still on Holle Polle's page. The only work to be done to the ones I have been through is to change the links to the new A numbers for the entries when they become edited ones.

As I did those when I was still a subeditor, perhaps that can be considered official?

Hi there, while lurking through the Uni, I spotted this. Can you give us a list of the entries that still need subbing? We can find another Sub to do those ones, and TC can keep her credit on the ones that she has done.

The remainder are still listed on Holle Polle's page. I do so wish I could edit the others, but I have no place and no time to sit for the necessary amount of time all at once to do it.
