All violins are possesed, if you ask me, no wonder they sound like "violence"

....well, i bought my mum one the other week i really like folk music so fiddles yes but violins for classical music i think they are slightly pompous (my personal view)

I'm not much into playing classical myself, I'll give Mozart and Schubert a try occaisonally, but I prefer Klezmer, Ragtime and a bit of Blues to go with my medieval stuff. The group I sometimes meet with to practice has a Japanese woman in, so we practice some Japanese things. And then mix them with Klezmer! We have one improvised thing we call "Oyoyoy Sakura"

Folk's good, too, of course, but not a lot of it calls for clarinet But I play it anyway sometimes with my sister, out of some piano books. Good thing I've got the bodhran to fall back on for some Folk! I hope to become good enough at clarinet to tackle Gerschwin at some point.

All the more reason to play it, I think...

Something like that. Actually, it's a cross between "sakura" - that's about cherry blossoms - and "Khosn kale mazel tov" - a wedding song.

i hope you know what im going on about and that i havent p*ssed you off in any way by typing this.

Well, it is a bit chauvinistic assuming most girls can't invent stuff - but I'll let you off this time as I assume it was meant to be a compliment I hope it's not put you off talking to me, tough
