love stuff

How could this happen? I have fallen in love again. at my age I should know better but one look from her beautiful face and I was lost. I have moved her into my home and the Boss is not so keen but love is love so what could I do.
Her name is Rosie and she loves me as much as I love her
She is of course a puppy. a liver and white springer spaniel and she is just twelve weeks old, and she is chewing her way through everything in the house, has dug up great chunks of the garden and I just don't caresmiley - biggrin

happy stuff

My life is completely happy nowsmiley - smiley. The Boss and I went to the hospital this morning and had some wonderful news. After all her operations were over the Doc said as soon as she was strong enough she would have her hip replacement done. Today we were told that she doesn't need it. What was thought to be some kind of nasty on her hip turns out to be something called a bursa which compared to what she has had in the past is nothing. A couple of injections will sort it out. We may even go dancing againsmiley - yikes.
I have had contact wth my favourite granniesmiley - somersaultsmiley - biggrin and have found out how to get to my old space as well.
The boxing club stuff is keeping me busy but I have yet to persuade the committee that the mud wrestling is a good ideasmiley - cross. They seem to think I have an ulterior motive in putting it forward as an alternative to boxingsmiley - rofl
The roses in my lasagne bed are strong healthy and full of buds.smiley - smiley I have managed to get lion's poo to keep the cats off, and the slugs and snails are fewer, the clematis and wallflowers are out and everything in the garden is lovely. The publisher rang me about my poeetry and the book will be ready in July.
How pleasant it is to have nothing to moan aboutsmiley - applause

A group of the local 'Hard Boys' have told us they want to join. It will be interesting to see how they manage the discipline that comes along with amateur boxingsmiley - biggrin
We have had an interesting week, The Son is preparing for a trip to Spain at the week end and has called in every day to tell how he really is not scared of flying and is now looking forward to going, the fact he says it so often makes us think otherwise.!
I have discovered two disturbing things about my garden.
It is the venue for a slug and snail permanent convention. It also must have a sign up somewhere saying public lavatory for catssmiley - grr
I wonder if anyone has a safe method of detering cats and killing slugs and snails I have tried everything I can think of to no good effect. What litle plants the cats don't dig up the slugs and snails eatsmiley - wah
