Fine and dandy thank you very much. There's just so *much* to see and do. It'll take me a while to get my bearings. I've dipped my toe in a couple of conversations and I'm thinking of entries to write. Good start so far. It'll grow I'm sure.
In the meantime I can just evangelise to my friends, both on-line and IRL about the wonders of h2g2 . . .

Evangelizing can be great fun. We do that all the time here in Holland. People actually grow tired of us talking about h2g2 from time to time . But it did work. We got quite a few people here

Especially as I've definitely 'been here, done that and got the (skinny) tee shirt' I have the perfect opening. People keep asking me what this 'h2g2' thing is that I'm wearing on my shirt. So I tell them In detail
Most of them are genuinely interested, so, you never know, a couple may convert into researchers. If not, at least they've had the chance to look at something really cool More fool them if they don't take it any further.

Well, it definately helped that we had the Dutch meet a couple of weeks ago. People stopped to stare and see who that crazed group were. We were more than happy to explain that we were h2g2 researchers...and that we were researching the local beer

Yes, there are pictures. You can find them either on my page, in the dropdownlist, or you can go to one of the conversations on my page called 'Beer' or ' Pictures of Beer', and get to them from there. All the censored pics are on there

One question though - just *why* was the naked man climbing the rope? Was it purely for the entertainment of the crowd, or does he just enjoy it?
We never get any rope-climbing nude people in my town. Shame really, it'd add a certain something

That's Amsterdam. Lots of people who are performing some sort of act, and the people are supposed to give him money then. So yes, you could say that it's for the entertainment of the crowd.
Now all we have to see is if the London Meet is going to be as much fun as the Holland one. Let's hope it is
