Shoes and eggs and bras

"... Which reminds me, next time you go, even if you think you know your size, get a fitting anyway, you might have changed or they might have some fit suggestions that help you feel more comfy in the bras you choose.."
That's why I hate shopping for bras! You have to try them all on. Even when measured correctly, it's still not 'one size fits all'. Different makes come up different sizes, even when they're the same 'size'.
I bought one of those padded gel bras - makes my boobs look ENORMOUS. My ex-boyfriend-now-dating-again asked me if they'd grown in the couple of years we'd been apart when he saw me in that. Couldn't take his eyes off, and that's something I'm not used to!

aaah... the 'wonder' bra... Makes a guy wonder where they went when you take it off
tbh, I dont want an extra gel bra, but I DO like a nice padded bra that makes them attractive and so many bra manufacturers seem to think if you're over a D cup (or a DD/E but over a 32 chest, cos skinny birds with big boobs are different..) you wont want them up andcleavaging with a vengeance... I bloody well do! Whats the point in having em if I cant use em!? eh? if nothing else, lifting them and shaping them well reduces my relative waist size

My last measurement was 32DD. I've got skinny ribs cos there's no fat there, but it makes me sound skinny with bog boobs, and that I am not! Although I wear so many jumpers this time of year it's difficult to remember what I look like!

at least you're not wearing a 36C or something! I'm on a bit of a crusade to get my mates in bras that fit, I take a couple of em into town at a time, tell them I need a bra and while I'm there I suggest they get measured to, as they are waiting. Works a bloody treat! One of my mates' breasts grew because of getting measured (she'd been cramming them into a B cup and after moving up to a C and a smaller back, her breasts actually took their shape better, they took their weight better and she said she felt so much better for it, they looked like proper grown up breasts... She always thought she had 'bee stings' until I convinced her to try a bigger size... And she's a pretty aware and sensible woman in her late twenties! It bothers me so much how many women simply dont bother to go to the hassle of helping themselves I mean, so many of us have no choice but to wear one EVERY day for most of the day... (when I say no choice, I personally feel uncomfortable without a bra on unless I'm settled down for the evening... If I have to move too much, I want some control!)

oh gosh yes! I'm another crusader for bras. I need to get refitted though. Currently I'm wearing 38F but I think I need 36FF or 36G or something.
I do have a gorgeous Bravissimo strappy-top-with-built-in-bra which gives me clevage (the Buckle Bunny Top if anyone remembers all that hoo-har) and I love it. I want more in lots of different colours.
But I deffo need new bras. But German bras are yukky - I never seem to find anything as great as the Debenhams own-brand t-shirt bras. Oh and pretty (well, as far as anything that ginormous can be pretty) with ... gasp! matching pants!

Black socks with orange dancing moose today!
And I just picked up my newly resoled boots - it only took a day. And he ended up only charging me 25€ instead of 32.50€ so I could see that he does good work. And he threw in a new pair of shoelaces. Plain black ones, with a thin white stripe. What does he have against my red ones with the Jolly Rogers?
Anyway, I now have the perfect boots - leather lined with wool, waterproof, and already broken in

Has it been a busy tiring day, or just cold?

Yes, and he did a good job, plus the materials he used seem to be much better than the original ones.
Once I get paid I'll bring my riding boots by, too.
And it was cold *and* tiring - reason enough to stay in

I dunno... I leave the thread for a few days and your all talking about bras rahter than shoes Think I may have to invest in a new pair of boots, a more wintery sturdy pair.... Actually I do like shoes... But there seems to be a conspiracy for there to be awful choice in mens shoes/boots Wonder if my shoe obsession is anything to do with my feet obeession err.... back to Bras

Really I'm always envious that the men seem to get more sensible shoes, hard to find anything for women that isn't flimsy or has a heel too high to run in.

I have some great boots... The heel tread came off on about the second wearing, I had them resoled and they are still going strong ten years on this summer coming!
Wish I could get my Bunker trainers resoled...
I wish I had some more shoes I loved enough to have resoled!
