smiley - rofl It would be great to have a disease named after you, as long as it's exotic, and not too painful or dangerous.

smiley - hug So far this is sounding promising. smiley - goodluck, and thoughts go with you.

You can call me TC

As they're growing fast, they're unlikely to be malignant, I would say.

They may be cysts which would possibly just disappear on their own if left untouched.

Still - you do wonder why they are there and what actually caused them to appear in the first place, don't you? See if they can give you any answers to that one. (Don't just accept the explanation that you're intrinsically smiley - weird!!! smiley - winkeye

I once had a lump in my neck removed - it was very near the jugular. The doctor just gouged it out "en passant" practically - all very laid back. Nothing came of it.

I remember that when I went back a few days later to have the stitches out, I had to wait a while for the doctor to come in. As I had my 3-year-old with me at the time (he's now 24), I sat on the floor to play with him while we were waiting. The smiley - doctor came in and promptly sat on the floor with us while he took the stitches out.

smiley - cool or what?

And it doesn't look like I'll be de-lumped soon. They did the blood work and looked at the biopsy results and scans, etc... Their conclusion: it's probably not a tumour, but could be anything else, really, especially three or four diseases for all of which they found the antibodies smiley - rolleyes

Their solution: ignore it and hope it goes away, I'm to come back in a month so they can take another look.

And I had to wait around 3 1/2 hours for them to tell me that smiley - cross Had to see three different doctors, and the conversation was always the same:

smiley - doctor: *looks at file* Ah, I see. Has anything changed.
smiley - jester: Yes, the lumps all hurt now, especially if you touch them.
smiley - doctor: Like this? *poke*
smiley - jester: YES! smiley - steam
smiley - doctor: I see. *poke* Well, I have no idea why it does that.
