Probably a bad assumption on my part - no offense intended.

Just an infantile response to your comment about being able to identify your religion when wearing tight speedos.

Stems from my recent research into circumcisions as discussed on the Willy Thread - apparently can be quite noticeable. the subject is at the forefront of my mind, as I am scheduled in for 22nd March.

Apologies again if I typed out of turn and without thinking - sometimes my sense of humour gets the better of my tactful side.

hey hey tis ok tinker! smiley - biggrin your doing all right and just enjoy hootoo!

I could'ent remember if it was you in for the "op" or not and I was trying to find out, also have you decided on the "style" yet?

feel free to opt out at this point, but i would say a couple of things about having one

1 Female doctor to do the "op" ..... smaller stiches and also a better "trim"/"look" to the finished item

2, try and keep most of the "inner foreskin".... better feeling afterwards!

3 enjoy!

any questions just asksmiley - smiley

Thank God for that - oops, sorry Rev, there I go again!

Unfortunately, no choice of doctor, as it's NHS, but he does do Private work too so hopefully the skills are the same.

The choice of style etc might depend on what needs to be done to release the tension on the frenulum which can be quite painful, but I have asked the right questions thanks to your input!

I'll let you know how I get on.

smiley - cheers

And a HooToo YooHoo to You Too!

3 weeks to go...

Consultant's away until about a week before the op, but his secretary has noted my comments and questions about the choices available to me.

One question is whether I have a general or local anaesthetic, due to the fact that I'm fitted with a defibrilator for a familial heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy - the reason why some apparently very fit and healthy young people suddenly drop down dead for no good reason.

Mine's a fairly minor gradient of the condition and it's been diagnosed and treated, so I'm one of the fortunate ones.

Looking forward to my "new look" though! And so's the missus.

Be awake, when you have the op, i was! and its ok! and you get to ask questions and see for yourself whats going on, invaluble too. also you don't get the side affects of a general knockout either!

Thanks for the tip - do I need to be really brave for the local, or is it just a little prick?

Careful how you answer that!

Well i won't say its not painful, but to be honest i would do the local again, if i had to be done again! its just sore, the first injection thats all and also with the adreanling flowing its ok! but theres really big benifits like being able to talk to the bloke doing the job, listen to some music, and the biggest thing of all is not feeling crappy after a general knock out! and being able to have a beer on the night down the pub, with your mates!

and another thing is the first night too, be aware that your "bits" will strech the stiches, once or twice! so have a couple of towels around the bed! and if sleeping with a partner, try and have a night in bed on your own, (they tend to ask to see it) smiley - biggrin so take care!

hope this has been helpful.............smiley - smiley

Absolutely brilliant input thanks Jack!

Especially the bit about the beer - all I need now is some mates.

I imagine the beer might have an adverse effect though - in terms of making you want to pee in the night and causing some stretching once the brewer's droop's worn off?

The missus and I, was talking about this and she made a good point, (now this depends on your partner and your the best judge of this) anyway its about swelling/brusing after the op! Because she seen the willie stright after the "op" and it was looking a little bit worse for wear and tear, she didlent like the "look" of it for sometime afterwards, also the "feel of it" due to the "strangeness of it" but as soon as the swelling/brusing went away (around 2-3 weeks in my case) she felt better! and the other thing is Don't play with the stiches and have a salt bath or two!

hope this helps RJR smiley - smiley

How fantastic to have my own personal consultants, speaking from direct experience and from both points of view.

It's quite amusing to be the subject of Sunday morning conversations over tea & toast.

We have been told about the healing process, but it's great to hear about real-life reactions and tips for dealing with it.

The missus will probably be mortified when she finds I have been discussing this with a "complete stranger", as she will see it (a bit of a net-phobe), but this is definitely information she should know.

I promise not to play with anything prematurely, so to speak.

Good - thanks!

Went in yesterday afternoon and just starting to feel a bit sore and bruised now.

They didn't do the full circumcision after all - just a foreskinplasty and a frenuplasty.

It's a bit like letting out the seam in a favourite pair of jeans to make your own flairs, except they don't appear to have sewn any floral or paisley material back in.

Until the bruising goes down and the stitches heal, I won't be able to see how the end result will look, but at the moment I'm still covered apart from this V-shaped section.

The injections for the local weren't too bad and I feel generally fine this morning. No doubt the discomfort will be quite tiring, but it's nowhere near as bad as recovering from the sedation I had for my last op.

I'll keep you posted.

Funnily enough, we used to have a smiley - cat called Tinker!

Now that I can inspect a bit better, a strange likeness springs to mind.

*breathes in adanoidally, with a sucking sound and then speaks with a laboured but cultured voice*

"Hello (*breathes again*) My name's John Thomas. (*breathes*) I'm ever-so pleased (*breathes*) to make your acquaintance" (*breathes*).

*Women run screaming from the room in horror, as small children poke the creature with sticks*

Oh well - early days.
