Hi, Brownfurby, I saw you had posted on"Hello jofrog" but I cant get to the page!. on visting your test page (which I still use for links, and better loading)I saw your note on it, I found the "who's on line"still worked in simple skin but the" stastistics" wouldnt load! At the same time as H2G2 upgrade my cable co. have been "Tweeting" with their system (pretty new colour menu bar and diffrent worded advice drop down advice boxes!) but I have found it even more difficult to get pages! so much for progress! thanks for warning on page I will keep trying to getto your reply and links. jofrog. )

no your right Brownfury, the link to who's on line is not in simple skin,(luckly I can see the reply button now)but loading is even worse than ever, and as you know its always caused me major problem. there is a slim chance I may be able to get my hands on a real pc soon,I know zero about how to use one so thats going to be fun! smiley - laugh bye and thanks Brownfurby.

Hello again Jofrog :) You are right , getting a real computer is the start of a new set of problems , but is great fun when things go right. Sad about the simple skin, but it was always unofficial. My guess is that when the BBC took over h2g2 they were probably supposed to remove the simple skin , but never got around to it and now they have. :( At least it helped you for a little while. The good news is , there is going to be a new official skin soon - see this link http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F83055?thread=163579 let's hope this one will be better on TV screens? Hi Brownfurby,
Nice to hear from you.
no pc was never used for internet
befor my neice whose pc it was,
said she thought it would be too slow?
not sure how well I would be able to
explain problem,I tried to get internet
explorer but it told me no modem
could be detected, not sure if my son
managed to sort that one out(he can only
come over every so often, and is abroad
at moment) I will attempt to try again
and if still have problems,will
try as you suggest, thanks for
the idea.
the real jukebox sounds great fun,
Im not suprised you went for it.
but I think as you and Viv say
I'll leave adding programes alone
(got a bit carried away, its certainly
a compeling "toy")
bye jo.

Sorry Jofrog. I didn't see your other thread where you said that you couldn't still read the other other thread. If that makes any sense at all.

Carry on posting here if you like.
