MuG: Free VSTs/VSTis etc

Post 1

Primeval Mudd (formerly Roymondo)

I've mentioned these in a couple of conversations and figured some MuGs might be interested. Both are VSTis, one based on a MiniMoog the other on an ARP2600. Both are fantastic and, most importantly, FREE!

Anybody else got any goodies?

I forgot about this lot, DigitalFishPhones plug ins. The Fish Fillets include a stonking compressor, a de-esser and an expander/gate, while Endorphin is a less-than-subtle mix compressor.

This is another little corker, the e-phonic Drumatic drum machine. Ostensibly basic but very editable while being a piece of cake to use.

And it can be made proper nasty when whacked through the CamelCrusher:

I am aflame with curiosity, but alas on the w*rk pc as per smiley - grr

I've got a fair whack of 50 or so MAX made free plugins all with silly names and the usual low resolution but gnarly flavour of the homemades smiley - erm I think some of the phasers and resonators are good, but have no links here. smiley - erm Should be okay here. smallox-at-gmail-dot-com. Mail me for plug-ins.

I've done a gnarly genius. I had 12 midi channels all with one different note repeated on the beat and recorded each through *all* of my soft synths and plenty of presets and user patches from the SID and the Monomachine and chopped them up to have each corresponding audio track to play one note on 127 (max) different synth sounds on the beat then bounced them each to a drum rack on ableton and put a note randomiser and arpeggiator on the trigger. smiley - biggrin Now I just cut and paste bits out of the 12 to make tunes and get a randomised mega synth without the usuall clicks and pops and always playing the right notes. I also did this with drums but with just kick, snare, odd noises and hat channels smiley - erm Now I need to write an actual tune smiley - rolleyes and solo the circuit bended stylophone on top. smiley - cool
