Biblical law

The bible is full of laws particularly in the book of Leviticus. This one contains all the dietary laws that form the basis of Jewish kosher food. Don't eat pigs shellfish etc.
But it also goes on to ban round haircuts, mixed fibre garments, tattoos. Also bans homosexuality. So why do Christians feel they can chose which laws to ignore and which to obey?

Watched the first episode of Humans last night. Fantastic drama. But raises questions. If we build artificial intelligence that is capable of thought what rights should it have in return?

Are humans the only animal to make music?

Can't of the top of my head think of another species of animal the makes music. Birds sing but that is communication.

19th March Has Technology gone mad?

25-30 years ago we didn't have mobile phones, computers and the like. The most high tech thing in our house was the video. Are we becoming a nation of techno junkies? I know I can't function without my iPad & phone. Is it ruining social interaction?
