Glaciers do a fair bit of delivering of boulders and stones of smaller sizes. See if you can contact glaciersRus.com

One step closer...spent a productive few hours dismantling a rickety old step and building a spankingly good new one.

Pathway dug, levelled and edged, even bought a bargain Acer for our new L shaped planters...which is my next project!

Pathways and steps and old stone walls and abandoned rotting boards that have vines crawling over them. That's what you are apt to find in a forest or mostly reclaimed field where not many people have gone in recent years.

Did a little dry stone wall rsmiley - cheerspair the other day, at the bottom of our garden...where no one has gone for years!

Built another three planters today, including an L shaped deep bed that I'm rather proud of! Nice white paint job and ready for planting when dry.

Onto levelling the final design for the stepping stone and gravel path cum patio (yup, the dimensions got a little large). Laying the weed membrane was easy, cut the longest run, pegged it down securely, then for the tricky bit around the new planters and steps....now where did I put my big scissors?

Twenty minutes later, having checked everywhere I actually hadn't been, found another pair and finished the job, all pegged in and looking cool...apart from that sticky up bit halfway down the longest run....hmmm....quick pat down with my expertly search trained fingers and the sticky up bit is surprisingly scissor shaped! Pegs up again and bloody things retrieved.

Back at work for a rest, then the great gravel mountain arrives. Still, gives me a chance to actually get back on my bike. Hurrah!

I have phobias about a few things, though none are especially strong.

I'm afraid of falling off bicycles and skis and other things that require good balance. So, I won't be on any bikes, but I can imagine the pleasure of the air whistling past you, and the exhilaration that you must feel. If anything, I'm jealous, but not in a bad way. smiley - smiley

You don't need good balance to ride a motorcycle mate, the bike does the work for you!

People do fall off them, though. I assume that these people have better balance than I have.

I don't want to open a smiley - canofworms

Sometimes I see a futuristic movie in which tricycle rickshaws are used to bringing people form one place to another.

No, I had no idea that there were tricycle motorcycles. Are they very common? Are they more likely to appeal to elderly people in remote areas? If so, FWR will never never have to actually see any. smiley - bigeyes

Hey some trikes are very cool, just not the may-as-well-have-a-car type!

Today, after another stupid o'clock shift, I dilligently checked on my 'crops' and poked my head into the little temporary greenhouse.

On the shelves, in various pots, there are 'things' growing madly.

I say 'things'- partly due to ignorance of all knowledge that aids plant identifying, but also due to the unbelievably stupid action of writing the little pot labels with a pen that is obviously not as waterproof as I thought.

So I now have forty-odd pots of 'surprise' veg seedlings, let's see what they are in a few weeks.

smiley - snork This is going to be so much fun...

You know what, erm, gardeners do? I don't, but I've seen this. Sometimes, they put the seed packet with the picture on a little stick and shove it in the soil next to the plants.

That's okay. 'Things' are growing in our flower beds in the back. Elektra threw in all kinds of wildflower seeds. Can't wait to see what comes up. smiley - rofl

There are indeed seed packets stuck to sticks, but we've been so successful (ok, overambitious) that we planted more in the various leftover pots from last year, toilet roll holders, grape containers, egg boxes etc etc.

These were carefully labelled by some idiot with a normal marker pen, then promptly watered away....weeks later....things!

Still chuffed to bits though.smiley - cheers
