Jon personal space
I have just got into H2G2 and don't yet know what it is. No doubt a bit of exploration will solve that problem by substituting compound confusion for simple ignorance. Apparently if I do post something here all sorts of nice people will materialise and Joy shall be unconfined (well, I could hardly have the heart to keep the poor kid locked up forever, could I?)I am an unfrocked entomologist (not so much the bug-pinning subspecies, more the rubbernecking sort) who abandoned the profession and vocation for the avocation of computing till retirement. I am now in a limbo of reading, writing, natural history and all that, and am contributing intermittently to Wikipedia.
If it turns out that there is intelligent and congenial company here and I can contribute to the feast and flow, I'll have made a really good move logging in here; if not, well, I can always return to my earlier occupation of being a teakettle.
The foregoing is mainly in lieu of anything substantial until someone or something elicits something of substance, so welcome to visitors until I am too busy doing visiting elsewhere myself.
Till we meet,
Jon

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
