Hey there

No more TLG apparently.... been checking the fansites. Some of them suggest writing to Fox (the company) to complain, dunno whether that would do any good. Wonder if they'll bring out the series on DVD?
I do have an interesting job, most of the time. Can't think of any anecdotes that aren't mainly in jokes. I'll work on that one. We get to work on loads of plays, music performances, fashion shows and stuff, and even get to take the students on trips. Last one was to Dublin, where the training turned to drinking 10 pints of
*hands LSF a for the small lake of saliva that seems to be building up*
I think Samuel L Jackson's character was Mace Windu (apparently George Lucas gets his daughter to make the names up!) He was cool. For some reason can't think what, I quite liked Natalie Portman's character, especially when her white lycra top accidentally ripped, and what a neat rip it was too!

Oh yes, that seems to most definitely be the end of TLG.....
Oh I can't think *why* you might find Natalie Portman, ahem, "interesting" in the *accidentally* ripped top....
*hands back the (soggy) *
I did think that she had a strangely familiar costume....she just needed a couple of Danish pastries strapped to the side of her head. Is there only one outfit for gun-toting action women then?!
Hey there
Langly Posted Sep 30, 2002
*wrings out, and mops brow*
I thought the costume more reminiscent of Wilma Deering from Buck Rogers in the 25th Century....
*mops brow with again*
I was surprised by how small Natalie Portman appears to be, they had some of her costumes at the Art of Star Wars exhibition, they must have weighed a ton too.
Gun toting action women? what about Tank Girl then?
?

Hey there
Leopardskinfynn... sexy mama Posted Oct 1, 2002
Yes you're right! She did look like Wilma from Buck Rogers! I'd forgotten about her!
*hands back , then does rather flimsy "bdbdbd" Twiki impression*

Do you mean small as in short? Or as in just generally tiny? Seems to me that they only have miniature people in TV and films, not strapping 6 footers like myself (oh apart from Brigitte Nielson [but then she's *hardly* a prolific actress now is she?] Geena Davis and Sigourney Weaver of course....)
There's another dream of super-stardom ruined.
Oh yes, Tank Girl. Great comic, shame about the film. I used to dress like her when I was getting over being a goth...
*runs off to find denim cutoff's and big boots*

Is there an echo in here??
Natalie Portman? tiny generally, bless her
I quite like Tank Girl the movie. Visually it was great! Some of the plot was a bit pants, but on the whole it was OK. Great soundtrack album too
*gets new soft and fluffy and hands it to LSF*
There's only one thing for it with the XF. Start watching it again, from the beginning.
Here's a and some to get you started with the pilot ep.

I think the only thing to do is to persuade GM to buy me the X Files on DVD for Christmas....
I'd hoped for some to appear for my birthday, but alas no. Oh well. Some people just don't realise the significance of things like the X Files I guess.
*scratches head in amazement*
I wonder how long it would take to watch every episode continually? I'll have to put my head on to try and work that one out...
So did you like Tank Girl the movie because of the eye candy??
*hand over slightly damp *
?
Hey there
Langly Posted Oct 2, 2002
would be lovely, thank you
You must think me very shallow. When I said I liked Tank Girl visually, I meant the look of the film, the costumes, designs and props. I thought they'd made a real effort to match the look of the comic books.
Mind you, Jet Girl was quite lovely
Wow, how paranoid would you be after watching all the X Files back to back
'nother ?
Lx
ps when was your birthday then?
Hey there
Leopardskinfynn... sexy mama Posted Oct 2, 2002
I'm shocked that You think that I think (hmm, not sure about the grammar of this) you're shallow....
Male, but not shallow!
The last trip around the sun was completed on 28th September. Another year older! Hoorah!
I don't know about paranoid...more like brainwashed. Would take vats of and , not to mention copious amounts of illegal substances to get through all that in one go.
The last ever Roswell tomorrow too... No more looking at Max's silly ears (and the muscles! The muscles!) or the silly teen drama.
At least I still have Buffy, or rather Spike.
*wanders off into letch-land again...*
*sigh*

I think I'd rather have the or the , not to mention the alcoholic than the anyhow....all those bubbles make me sneeze!
What ya been up to recently then Langly? Anything exciting?
I turned on the tv halfway through Empire Strikes Back last night, and was most miffed that I'd missed the first half (and Star Wars last week...)
*makes mental note: be more informed of current events*
?
Hey there
Langly Posted Oct 11, 2002
I know it's a bit early, but here you go anyway
What have I been up to lately? Not much really, work, telly, sleep. I need to get a life
I managed to be organised enough to tape The Empire Strikes Back, which means that I can fast forward through the adverts. *puts on Yoda voice* Enjoyed it much I did..
More I think
Hey there
Leopardskinfynn... sexy mama Posted Oct 18, 2002
Well your life sounds about as interesting as mine!
Hmm....what have I been doing recently?
*rummages around in a near vacant brain*
*makes mental note: must get out more...*
Oh yes...went down to the Big Smoke last friday to go clubbing for a friend's birthday. Dancing that is, not baby seal clubbing.
Was great fun, but have been paying the price this last week....
*erase mental note: getting too old*
?

Langly Posted Oct 20, 2002
*winces at seal clubbing joke*
What's the Big Smoke?
*penny drops* Oh, hang on, do you mean London?
Hangover gone yet? fancy a ? Had a few myself last night, and woke up with a surprising clear head this morning. Yay!

Hey there
Leopardskinfynn... sexy mama Posted Oct 20, 2002
yup, Big Smoke = London.
I used to live on the outskirts of London until March this year (I live in Somerset now), and it felt really strange going back there....
Like a kid in a candy shop! Bright lights, big city! Woohoo!!!
*gets excited over the silliest things these days*
It was great to do the 'city' thing, but it was even nicer to come home to my quiet village in the country.....
Ack!! Must be sign of impending adulthood!!
To counter effect the feeling of suddenly wanting 2.4 kids and a lawnmower I dyed my hair a rather fetching shade of raspberry. So there.
Yup, hangover fully gone now. Must be time to reduce my blood level in my alcohol stream then - don't mind if I do...
??
Hey there
Langly Posted Oct 21, 2002
I love visiting London, though I don't think I could bear actually living there. Even just riding on the Underground, watching people, having that feeling that no-one knows (or cares probably) who I am.
We're taking some students down there in December to see a show and do the sights, looking forward to that
Wow, raspberry! fantastic. I keep toying with the idea of having mine dyed all different coloured streaks, but what with the lack on top, I'm dithering about how silly i'd look
A lawnmower would be just the thing if you actually did want 2.4 children
(might as well have a double)
