Yea, that's what I was trying to say, in a roundabout way! smiley - smiley

I spend more time ogling the van, and the gear in the back of it smiley - geek

There are rumours of another XF movie, and DD has apparently said he wouldn't mind being in it....

smiley - cheers

The van would be better if it didn't keep on breaking down! Nice though. smiley - biggrin
I thought they were going to take the engine that ran on water and put it in their van in the last episode....would stop them having to siphon petrol! smiley - yuk

Hoorah for another XF movie!! Double hoorah for DD being in it!! smiley - bigeyes

Half the fun of having an old VeeDub is working out what's wrong with them when they break down smiley - smiley

The fun then evaporates when you get the bill smiley - laugh

DD eh? did you see him in Evolution?

Oh I know all about the "joys" of VW bills.....I still have my Beetle that needs a new floor.... smiley - sadface

I saw Evolution the other day - I wasn't expecting much, but it was most amusing! Silly, but funny. smiley - silly
I particularly liked the bit at the end with the administering of the shampoo enema..... had me in stitches for a fair while!

Why not leave the floor as it is and save on petrol, drive it Flintstones style smiley - winkeye

I used to have a type 2 camper, only really sold it 'cos it was costing me a fortune in petrol just commuting to work, the guy who bought it managed to blow the engine up! smiley - sadface

Wish i'd kept it now!

Is your Beetle still on the road? I saw a famous one today, one of the ones used in the Herbie films, what a wreck! It was cunningly adapted so you could drive it from a seat right at the back to look like Herbie was driving himself smiley - biggrin

Great idea about driving my car Flintstones style....I once saw a pic of a Beetle all covered with brown fake fur - maybe the 2 ideas would go well together?!
I had this flash of inspiration the other day to paint my car all over in leopard print....what do you reckon? smiley - silly

Ooooh - dont talk about blowing engines up.....
My less-than-bright ex-boyfriend used to drive my car to work (I lent it to him when his Beetle was off the road - should have known then really), and managed to blow the original engine up, then replaced it with the one that was in his Bug...only to blow that one up too! He paid for a brand spanking new engine, then tried to get me to pay for it! smiley - grr

Needless to say, that was the end of our *relationship*!

Fantastic plan smiley - ok Why not go one better, and cover it with fake leopardskin fur?

smiley - doh ex sounds a bit accident prone smiley - winkeye

on the subject of my ex.......well, he was a bit of a muppet.

Problem with covering my car with fake fur is that it would get all spongey and smell like a wet dog if it rained...

Which bit of which muppet? smiley - winkeye

hmmm....difficult to say really, possibly Animal's brain?!

Did you see TLG last night?

Hey there

Post 31

Langly

Animal! What a guy! Inspiration to so many drummers! smiley - biggrin

Haven't watched TLG yet, going to visit my brother in a mo. He taped it for me (I hope).

XF was good on Sunday. More fighting over Scully by Mulder and Doggett!

smiley - cheers

Oh yes, the X Files was great on Sunday...Mulder and Doggett fighting like a couple of teenagers... smiley - biggrin

Glad I didn't go into detail about TLG in my last post then - might have spoiled if for you.

On the muppet theme, my nickname used to be either Red (from the Fraggles) or Animal in fairly recent years - its all to do with the hair or so I'm told smiley - erm (my hair being long, red and in dredlocks)

Still haven't watched TLG, it's on a tape, waiting for me... tomorrow morning with any luck smiley - smiley

Dreads?! Fantastic! If I wasn't suffering from a distinct lack of hair on the top of my head smiley - sadface I'd love to go for dreads, huge ones with bits of different coloured stuff in them..... Maybe in my next life smiley - winkeye

You could always get some stick-on-the-back-of-the-head dredds....or if I decide to cut them off (which I contemplate at least once a day) then I'll send them to you and you can stick them on the top of your head.

Might have to dye your hair bright ginger though. smiley - biggrin

New X Files tonight...*skips around for a bit and looks thoroughly childish*

Hey cheers LSF smiley - smiley Stick with them though, they sound great.

Don't think i'd bother dying them. Although my hair is blonde, for some reason, I have a ginger beard smiley - erm

*skips around for a bit with LSF, dodging the dreads*

smiley - biggrin

Hey, there's nowt wrong with having a ginger beard! We're all ginger in this household, and proud of it! smiley - biggrin

Didn't get to watch the X Files last night - ended up going to catch a film in Bristol....Men in Black 2...
ohdeariedeariedear...smiley - cross
I quite enjoyed the first one (though it was hardly a 'good' film by any estimation), but the sequal just doesn't bother with any sort of decent storyline whatsoever, it just goes through the motions, churning out special effects and tired jokes.

There were 2 funny bits in it, otherwise it had me yawning. smiley - sleepy

But....videoed Roswell and the X Files, so get to watch them tonight! Hoorah!
*skips around some more, watching where the dredds go*

I"ve heard bad things about MIB II, which is a real shame, 'cos the first one is a cracker! Same with Scooby Doo. I was really looking forward to both of them, and now I don't know if I can be bothered to go. Prob'ly will though smiley - smiley

*sits down for a bit, watching LSF's dreads describing complex fractals in the air, then gets up and jumps about again* smiley - biggrin

I've watched last week's TLG now, so we can discuss it smiley - smiley The bit that really weirded me out was that the guy was called Adam Burgess, which is the name of a friend of mine, who played drums in a band I was in. Loads of sampling/silly songwriting possibilities there!!

*out of breath with all the pogoing, sits down and cracks open a bottle*

smiley - ale? smiley - cheers

Oh, don't mind if I do ...smiley - cheers
smiley - biggrin

Haven't seen Scooby Doo yet, was supposed to go last week, but you know how things get...
I thought that MIB 2 would have better, so I fetl quite disappointed in it really. Bummer. smiley - sadface
I did see a trailer for the next Matrix film though, which had me wiggling all excitedly in my seat. I think that was the highlight of that evening!

I quite like the idea of having that plug at the back of the neck that Adam Burgess had - that way I wouldn't have to remember anything and could just plug myself in to a library of knowledge. Need to learn Japanese? No problem!

I think you should take full advantage of all the silly sampling that you can! smiley - silly

*realising that far too many "!!!!!"'s were used in this post*

Post 39

smiley - biggrin Have you read Masquerade by Terry Pratchett? The ghost in there uses lots !!!!!!!!! of exclamation!!!!!!!!!! marks!!!!!!!!

I knew the plug in the back of the head idea reminded me of something, bit Matrix like, especially with the lying in a bath of sticky goo as well. When's the next Matrix film out?

XF tonight, yay!!!!!! (now i'm doing it smiley - biggrin)

smiley - cheers

Hey there

Post 40

Leopardskinfynn... sexy mama

I haven't read much of Terry Pratchett I must admit, but my bloke has loads of his work so I might sneak into the library and take a peek...

I'm not sure when the next Matrix film is out - I was too busy squiggling excitedly in my seat at the prospect of the next installment to take much notice of things like details.......but I think it probably won't be out until next year. But well worth the wait I'm sure!
The trailer only really hinted at bits in the next film, but there was Morpheus still being cool, Trinity in her shiny pvc and Neo still wearing that long flasher's mac. smiley - biggrin

Oh did I enjoy the X Files last night - Mulder and Doggett getting all riled up again... *sigh*
I'd back Doggett in a fight any day...Mulder is pretty, but Doggett fights like a marine.
*getting all fickle in my affections*
I thought it was a good way for Mulder to leave the limelight and for Doggett to take his place.
