I'm tired. This ain't the place it used to be. I was going to stick around to be one of those upkeeping the standards, but I've had words from the Italics that they're okay with the slippage. I'm not 
Maybe I am too high on my horse, not condoning TxT SpEaK and petty name calling, so be it. If you can't beat them, you don't have to join them, you can go elsewhere.
I know you were thinking of leaving, and other great debaters have already left. Did you ever come across a site similar to h2g2, that hasn't yet been dragged down with pages and pages of banality?
(I'm know I'm a frequent poster to the "Boring and Banal" thread

I saw this arrive in my Convos list, and thought "ooh, someone knows of a better 'ole, I really want to go to it". And then I find you are asking *me*!
No, the only site I am aware of that might be as good is The Well, (http://www.thewell.com) but it costs $35 pcm, and I am too hard up to try it right now.
Try hanging out in the AWW - <./>rf5</.> There is some cool stuff going on in there right now, and the more people post, the more people will post.
I am hanging on in here, because I do think its worth it, but...

Yeah, it is the quality of the friendships I have made which keeps me here. Why don't you drop by Lil's? F38024?thread=296172&post=3824233#p3824233 It's fast but friendly, and what Hootoo used to be all about. Read the page it hangs off though, before you wade in. We are hot on nettiquette, and hate TXT SPK, so you should feel at home.
