ooh, I might be able to make that - J will be with his Daddy that night. Can I invite myself if I can make the time?

Yes please, Mina.
This is an unashamedly ageist and sexist gathering; grown-up girlies only! You qualify on both counts; (it's a compliment! )

kelli - ran 2 miles a day for 2012, aiming for the same for 2013 Posted Aug 11, 2003
Hello!
Thanks for pointing me this way Ben, haven't had a proper girl's night out for *ages* I'm really looking forward to it - does anyone need me to do anything?

Just be there, Kelli, it's great you can come along too.
I hope the weather has cooled down considerably by then. It has been to hot to even attempt to go to the new Thai restaurant.
I shall go into town later this week and have a look at some of the prices of main courses so that you can all get an idea of where you would like to go, I will include the non chain Italian one in that.
If lots are coming by train, then Old Orleans may be the easiest as that is a short walk from the station and also has a large carpark close by. For anyone not familiar with that chain, as the name implies it is what passes for cajun in the UK, they do burgers and steaks as well.

Ooh! The Old Orleans has the added bonus that I actually know where it is! Like Carwynn says, very easy for the train or for parking. But anywhere is fine by me.
Are there any vegetarians amongst us?

Wheat / Dairy intolerant, but most Pizza Houses do Chicken Ceasar Salads.
I'm easy.

Here's a couple of menus, the first doesn't have any prices. But if you want them, I can go and check the average price for a main course.

There is a new theme burger place just opened, as if we haven't got enough places to eat already in the town! I always check for veggie meals anyway, but can look out for lacto intolerant courses as well.
As well as the usual Pizza Express, Cafe Uno, Cafe Rouge, Cafe de Paris, Yellow River Cafe, Zizzi, there is a good Indian restaurant and some more expensive places.

I'm still up for it. (And is that offer of a space in the boot-locker still on, boots? *looks hopeful*)

So - we've got a date, and we seem to have a venue. Do we have a time?
And am I correct in assuming we've agreed on 27th August at the Old Orleans in Guildford?

I haven't managed to sort out babysitting yet. I generally have two people to ask. One is too busy, the other is on holiday. I don't think it would be fair to either him or the girls if I brought him.

Are we going to meet at the restaurant? Is there a bar area where we can loiter until everyone has turned up?
Still very excited about this...
