Hi there Ducky, I know I didn't say where abouts I was in Barrow on the other thread but you never know who is reading the posts and I just think you have to bit a bit careful about giving too much info out on the net. Did you see much of the town when you were here or did you just visit your family? And have you been before then?

I've been before loads of times. Both of my parents were born there so I visit with my dad alot. We visit the cemetary because his mum and dad have a plaque there in memory of them, you know, after they were cremated. We often visit walney beach as well. Last weekend we were firing a bottle rocket up into the air. It was fun smiley - biggrin

I understand about the whole not wnating to give out your info thing, I shouldn't have expected you to answer, i'm sorry.

Are you thinking of getting a moped then. It is better than relying on public transport. My husband just learnt to drive a few months back so we can get around a lot better now. I can't drive though so have to rely on the freedom of my chauffeur smiley - winkeye

We didn't go on the boats, no, because the weather wasn't very good. And there were loads (!!!!!!) of tourists. There was a queue from ambleside to windermere, choca block with traffic. Very scary.
