Hi there Ducky, I know I didn't say where abouts I was in Barrow on the other thread but you never know who is reading the posts and I just think you have to bit a bit careful about giving too much info out on the net. Did you see much of the town when you were here or did you just visit your family? And have you been before then?
Hi Ducky

I've been before loads of times. Both of my parents were born there so I visit with my dad alot. We visit the cemetary because his mum and dad have a plaque there in memory of them, you know, after they were cremated. We often visit walney beach as well. Last weekend we were firing a bottle rocket up into the air. It was fun
I understand about the whole not wnating to give out your info thing, I shouldn't have expected you to answer, i'm sorry.

I have been to walney beach lots of times, my son loves it there, it always seems windy though lol. I have an Auntie who lives in Walney. I was originally lived in Dalton, which is not far from Barrow (I'm sure you probably know where it is) I've been in Barrow for about 7 years now.

Thanks, i think i am lol, my friend just popped round. she drove her moped over here, it was her first time on it properly she's really enjoying the freedom.
Hi Ducky

Are you thinking of getting a moped then. It is better than relying on public transport. My husband just learnt to drive a few months back so we can get around a lot better now. I can't drive though so have to rely on the freedom of my chauffeur

lol yeah, but i'll have to wait until next summer when I turn 16. My parents would probably never let me get one anyway. they think it's too dangerous.

You'll have to convince them you're sensible lol. I'm sure if you pass your test and everything they would be fine with it though

Autumn is a good time to visit Bowness, there isn't as many tourists that time of year coz it can get really busy! Did you go on the boats?
Hi Ducky
Ducky - Chief CPU CEO: The Right Hon. Ms Ducky, QC, PDQ, PMT, ADHD et al. Posted Nov 1, 2005
We didn't go on the boats, no, because the weather wasn't very good. And there were loads (!!!!!!) of tourists. There was a queue from ambleside to windermere, choca block with traffic. Very scary.

Really? It isn't usually that busy that time of year I guess half term school hols brought all the tourists back, not good lol! It's really annoying when you live there, you want all the tourists to just go home. Not very good going on the boats in bad weather, may be all the tourist have gone mad hehehe!
