What is with that? I have the same problem/tendency. What’s with IT guys and comedy?
Is our lonely isolated life/job. I have to watch my P’s and Q’s sometimes at work or know who has a sense of humor and who doesn’t.
On a side note, have sorta the same problem here. I am new here, almost a year methinks, and don’t expect much. But, I can’t help but interject a little humor into, let’s say “word games”. Sometimes, methinks it falls on deaf ears…

I think it is not the isolated life/job, it's a way of handling the frustration and exasperation of dealing with it-illiterate folk on a daily basis.
That and a level of creativity that needs be ventilated in the way of intelligent jokes like word games to take the serious edge off of life.

Hi, sometimes I don't remember to check more conversations for posts. Anyways, newish here. It's late, actually I'm tired, sort of getting caught up on things. 
Also, been quite busy few weeks. Not just the user issues, corporate IT BS i can't even get started about.

Yes, specially the computer part.
Sometimes I want to 'nurture' them by giving them a reprogramming with a very large axe... hmmmmm... where have I heard that one before?

At least you can get to know who gets it and who doesn't. But sometimes mngmt. may think I,, talk to much, leave it at that.
Now here's the "rub", not even sure if I'm using that correctly.
I would and I am that way no matter what "job" I am doing.
Everyone likes the comedian in the Scalehouse, on the CB.

Actually didn't know what I was saying when I said it.
Thought about it and came up with the old, "the plants will be the only thing left once we wipe ourselves out".
