INTRODUCTION
I'm British, 50, an Architect, married to Zofia Lorenc (honestly) who is Polish. We live in Poland but work the World.
Over 20 years I have worked in Saudia Arabia, Quatar, Iraq, Malaysia, Libya, Russia, Poland and now in Egypt. I reckon that qualifies me as a "Hitchhiker".
Criminal Record: One day in jail in Baghdad, Iraq for crashing into a policeman on his motorbike and one day in a Libyan jail for kissing (honestly just a peck)my girlfriend (now wife) in a public place. Luckily I did not get caught brewing and smuggling alchohol in several dry countries and was not seen doing 135mph on the M4 many years ago on a BMW bike.
Near Death Experiences: I survived crashing at 90mph on the M1, having my leg sewn up in a doctors house on his dining table in Libya (more on that later) and picking up a handgrenadein he Sinai Desert.
Architectural Monuments: Not many in my name. A shoot out between the private armies of two princes in Qatar destroyed one project, the Americans bombed my pride and joy in Iraq and a terrorist blew up an apartment block in Saudi Arabia that I supervised.
