well, what we did was slightly different, it was discussing work, not just 'discussing'

Looks like the network's up and running for the time being. Sometimes it gets the hiccups, and yesterday I wasn't able to get back on.

Today we are having a christmas workshop, and I feel like I'm back in kindergarten. 'Till now, we have made honey candles and apples of wool. Later we shall make stockings. . Christmas's coming up, obviously.

I was at uni all day to build a model and it's *still* not finished. My friend and I were working on it for 2 days now and have only reached the 3rd floor! (there are 5 in the whole)

School's out upcoming Friday. Which means christmas and presents and relaxation.

The school lies in Eastern Norway, by the largest lake in the country, Mjøsa (Mjösa), close to a town called Moelv.(look it up) Meaning, Saturday I will sit nine hours on a bus for Bergen (on the coast in the west). juhu..

Just a question: what does the german word "frühe" mean? Is it possible to say: "Ich frühe mich"?

My uni also ends on Friday... but I'll have enough to do during the holidays.



You possibly mean 'freue', right? 'Ich freue mich' means something like 'I'm happy (about something)'.
Frühe oh the other hand is used in 'in aller Frühe', 'very early in the morning'.

Could "ich freue mich" mean "I'm looking forward to something"? That's what I wanted it to mean, anyway.

We're having Christmas dinner at school today and those who care to, will dress as sharp as possible, I'm one.

Today we are eating pork ribs (as in spare ribs without "spare"), but on christmas eve at home we eat something called "stick meat". It is mutton steamed on wooden sticks. Delicacy!
My family also have some fish thing that lies in acid for a couple of days before it's supposed to be eaten, but that's just gross.

What do you eat for Christmas?

Well, at christmas (the 24th) we usually have only fish soup for lunch (which is normally the main meal of the day) and in the evening we have loads of cold stuff like shrip coctail and so.
Traditional christmas food here is goose or carp ( )

I'm sorry I've been away for so long but I have been at home. My computer haven't got an internet connection. My mother's has, but I prefer not to use it, she's just nagging

Did you get anything nice for christmas? I got books and money, mostly, and I'm buying a portable harddisk for the money.

The 'stick meat' was delicious as always, and we ate it again at new years eve. The point is to eat as much as you can, then be so full you can't do anything but lie down a little. That's what gives me the feeling of christmas.

I also got mostly books and money. And a nice cushion frm my granny and a calendar.


We fortunately still have cookies.

What's the weather doing? I want snow! But there only was a little bit in November. I hope it will come soon.

Back at home (in Bergen) they passed the 70th day with rain yesterday. That's depressing. Here, the rain started washing the snow away yesterday, and the ice makes it slippery as hell to walk to school, or anywhere else.

My grandma gave me a couple of dining mats, or whatever it's called, some cloth things to have under your plate when eating. They are red and green and I can only use them for christmas, but thanks grandma.

Also, unfortunately, I used the first four days of the new year lying sick, and my stomach has been unruly since then.

We didn't even have rain. Everything's dry here.




And I'm working, working and working again. Just came home from 8 hours of model building and now I still have work.

A few noteworthy things have happened here at school since last time.
Firstly, the town was visited by a the Norwegian Minister of Justice, he held some kind of meeting. Not very interseting in itself, but when some jerks from school met with their posters promoting marihuana they made it to the local newspaper. Made a mess with the school management and stuff.

Next, I think I mentioned the slippery roads. In the last few days, five cars have been damaged in crashes. A teacher drove into a wall, and two students drove into one parked car each. One of them wasn't even driving his own car.

Also, tonight we're having a New Years Ball. I'm holding a speech and I'm also going to read a poem. I have a mind for poetry, you know
