Bistroist

Today it's Saturday, but welcome to H2G2 anyways smiley - smiley

My name's Bistroist and I'm one of the Guide's Assistant Community Editors (ACE's). We're a bunch of volunteers who roam this place trying to be as nice and helpful as possible, and meet and greet as many newcomers as we can.
If there's something you need help with, or just want a few links to some of the cool places in here, I suggest you visit our common homepage.

I'm not sure if you know this already, but there's a welcoming message to all newcomers over here

Other questions you'd might like to ask? Try the "ask H2G2" and "How do I..."-forums
http://www.h2g2.com/A148907 and http://www.h2g2.com/A242470

btw. In case you haven't noticed, the "Don't Panic" button in the top menu bar links to an occasionally useful help section.

Don't worry if you don't understand any of this, just stick this in your ear smiley - fish

Very kind of you to visit me, Bistroist. Until now I haven´t had any major problems with the guide, but perhaps that´s because in my world (that is 49.5°N and 11°E) it is still Friday. You are ahead of my time...
Have a nice Saturday smiley - tongueout

Well, actually it *was* Friday when I wrote that. -I just can't keep track of the week in the holidays. smiley - smiley

But nevermind that, now, at least, it has been Saturday for almost an hour. If I were the kind of person who would actually rise from the screen just to achieve enlightenment, I would go look up your bearings, but... smiley - winkeye

I can't even remember what position this is, it's something with 52, or is it 53??? -Oh nevermind, I'm in Denmark, to make it short.

Well actually I had to look up my position on the map (Germany/Erlangen near Nuremberg). Now I´m sitting here smoking my last cigarette for today and drinking some *good night* tea - smiley - tongueout.

Nice of you to write back anyway, because now I HAVE a little question: Do you know any better forum for my saxophone question than Ask h2g2, perhaps one where more musicians are around?

It´s not that important, but if there is a better way to get information on this topic then I will take itsmiley - fish.

Always glad to meet you here,

Hello Greebo!
At the moment I am awake for 6 hours already. I´ve had my small breakfast, went into the city to buy some food and newspapers and am now completely unwilling to work on my report I have to have complete on - haha - Tuesdaysmiley - sadface.
I don´t know what´s going on where you are but here holidays will begin soon so I will live in a fairly dead city for a while - unless I can manage to get away here...smiley - fish
How are you? Everything fine? (hope so...)
Nice of you to check in here - lazy Tuesday
