Just that contibutors do not indulge in consecutive posts.
Perhaps the smileys can be utilised as cues.

Sounds great! This is the sort of thing we could keep running for a long time, even if nobody else joins in. Will be ever better because of the time difference between us............That's the old good thing about that

Anticipating simulposts, we need to have a means of agreeing upon precedence.

Hey, would you believe I've just finished it. It was yummy. My son cooked it. Bless him!
Are you enjoying this game?
It doesn't really have to make too much sense, just a few unusual things thrown in....
If we get fed up with this we could try it with a sentence at a time....

Flame Posted Sep 5, 2005
and I haven't forgotten that you wanted to write this week. I expect you haven't managed much of that so far today.....
Hot! hot! Hot!
Xantief Posted Sep 5, 2005
The week is yet young.
My youngest son is a budding gourmet. He wants to get sausage-making equipment. Too much Food Network on tv, but that's perfectly fine with us!

More males seem to enjoy cooking these days. I'm all in favour of that!

I remember reading a story that was co-written by two college students, alternating paragraphs.
Her character was a gentle soul, seeking the deeper meanings, and his was a space-going swashbuckler.
The story was...twisted. The last paragraphs were single insulting words.
I'm enjoying this, and don't mind if the pulsed-phase graviton generator ends up in the gravy....

I'm sorry to say that I have to break away at this point, Pauline. There's some barbecuin' needs to be done...
Thank you for the excellent idea, I'm enjoying our partnership here.
Very fond regards to you, and to your son.
Good evenoon!

Good aftermorn, Flame.
The BBQ turned out well...my head isn't throbbing either!
Do you want to continue the story? I'm thinking about alternating sentences. The five-word scheme is fun indeed, but fragmentary.

Good morning
I've just mailed you. Hope it arrived.
Alternating sentences sounds interesting. Will you set up a new thread?
Hot! hot! Hot!
Xantief Posted Sep 6, 2005
I'm still thinking on whether to start anew. I could go either way, but I don't mind continuing with the magic book.
I got your email, thank you.

We could try the sentence thread, and see which one we feel works the best.
