It works, and I got 'Pokarekare Ana' to work as well.

So, it's not blonde-ness after all, but just a Luddite who refuses to upgrade his operating system.smiley - biggrin

Changing WAVs to MP3s reduces the file size by 90% (for CD quality), without any noticeable clipping. I'll try locate a good freeware converter, but may need to know which OS you use.

Please do. Did you get the new music from me?

I believe you can transfer bigger files directly through yahoo. I'm signed up to messenger. If you are also with that program we could try that, and chat directly, rather than posting. If you want to that is.....

I have to think about Yahoo. I'm security-conscious, and the Network Security folks at w**k have no qualms about re-imaging a system that someone had put the Yahoo tools on. It renders computers vulnerable to hack attacks.

I also eschew IE, and am very careful with ActiveX.

That's okay smiley - smiley No problem. Would be good to be able to send these music files with a better quality sound, but maybe we can find some other way.

But then again, there are security configurations to emplace. I'll look into it.

So you like Haley's sound? It really is lovely, and the whole CD is first class. But I just selected a few tracks that I really like.

I believe I'll look for her disc. 'Pure', right?

I'll send you some more if you received the two from earlier today.

I have more Acoustic Alchemy, too...

Yes, it's called Pure.

I only received the 2 you sent yesterday. Nothing else has arrived.

About the file size: CD-quality WAV files are 10 megs per minute of music, and MP3s are only a tenth of that, without sacrificing quality.

If you have software that allows you to convert formats, MP3 is the way to go.

If you don't have, I can find some freeware.

I'm playing 'Fields of Gold' now...I have Sting's version. And it's one of my faves.

That's what I've done. Is the quality okay?

I;ve sent two Eva Cassidy songs. Have you heard of her?

Do you have any Josh Groban? He's wonderful. I'd like to send a couple of tracks.

It sounds good.

No, I haven't heard of either Eva or Josh. I'm willing to meet them, though.

Both Americans too!

Eva Cassidy has a wonderful voice. Unfortunately she only became famous after she died of cancer a few years ago.

Josh Groban is a tenor. I first discovered him when I watched the film Troy. He sings a haunting & beautiful song at the end of the film. I bought his CD last December. Haven't stopped playing it since.

Josh can sing in Italian & French. So young, so talented!

Eva certainly has a voice. I bet she has done some R&B work...she must have!

I'll put another on the stack for you, maybe you'll get it tomorrowsmiley - grr...'Egrets' by Montreux, from a Windham Hill sampler.

I am so smiley - sadface. I tried to send Josh but the tracks only sound good at CD quality level. The files too large to send.

What music software are you using? I noticed the MP3 icons associated with the songs, but their format is still WAV.
